It's unreal how much Fox is into misleading their audience. In my opinion, immoral.

      • Trump posted this on Truth Social himself, so I guess he's OK with 'purposely crashing the stock market'?

"...you pointy-headed autopsy nerd. Do you think it's possible for you to post without using words like "hilarious," "absurd," "canard," and "truther"? Your bare assertions do not make it so. Maybe your reasoning is too stunted and your vocabulary is too limited to go without these epithets."

It’s like the GOP has adopted the liberal view of a zero sum economy.
"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

The Republicans have no real principles now other than loyalty to the Dear Leader.

                Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

To be fair, Trump holds the record for low oil prices. He once had them go negative in 2020, although I don't pin that on him since it was covid that caused the negative oil prices.

This dip is not a correction of an overinflated market as I've seen some MAGAites say. It's directly related to tariffs and is absolutely avoidable. The economy that was handed to Trump wasn't bad but he's taken it from passable to recession and possible depression. Quite the feat in just three months.

I don't understand the "to be fair to Trump" part. He benefited from low oil prices because of COVID and now he is benefiting from low oil prices because he is destroying the American economy. Why should we be fair to Trump?

MAGA cheering on low oil prices under the current conditions is like getting excited over some s'mores made on the coals of one's burning house.

It was a joke. I was trying to make the joke that Trump has done even better on lowering oil prices...but I'm sure the joke was just poorly worded.

Oil prices have been steady in the $70-$80 range for over three years now and that seemed to be a sweet spot. Not too high so they are affordable and not too low so oil companies continue to drill new wells. If oil gets in the $50-$55 range or below you'll start to see big impacts to drilling investment throughout the oil plays in North America. There's not a lot of places where the breakeven point of drilling is over $55 and with the tariffs increasing costs on steel and other materials necessary to drill, that breakeven point might go even higher.

                                Sorry. I'm a dope. A belated .

And thanks for the note on why "Drill! Drill! Drill!" is not going to happen under decreasing prices points.
