Maybe a few other states, but it’s definitely the exception. Also, it’s only a subset of those with SNAP benefits who are eligible, although it was expanded to all recipients during COVID. I thought you might find it interesting.

When I had the lovely job of determining food stamps eligibility in Utah, they couldn't get anything prepared from a restaurant. You could get Papa Murphys but not Pizza Hut
I thought you were only going to hurt the people I want hurt!
"...you pointy-headed autopsy nerd. Do you think it's possible for you to post without using words like "hilarious," "absurd," "canard," and "truther"? Your bare assertions do not make it so. Maybe your reasoning is too stunted and your vocabulary is too limited to go without these epithets."

In the age of electronic payments I don't see the big deal. Steal some of Elon's boy wonder programmers and they could probably whip out a system in a couple of weeks.
It already exists so no need to reinvent it. Texas has something where certain foods are identified as prepared foods, which are charged sales tax. However, non prepared foods are tax free. Just modify that system and you are good. It incentives people to not eat out or buy junk food and instead by ingredients that are healthy.
"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf
Read the stories. This is not how to treat people who put their full faith and trust in the USG. It is also not a "well, the same thing happens in the private sector" situation. The cruelty is really the point.
I will probably get roasted for asking this question, which is why I mostly only lurk in this forum....but the stuff that DOGE is making public. The amount of money that is being spent and where it is being spent...is that a concern for anyone? Or is it a partisan thing where Dems think all of the money spent was a good thing and Reps think that all of this money being spent is wasted and is a bad thing?
Because damn...we have been spending a crazy amount of money on some stupid shit. (My own personal opinion.)

Given all of stupid, objectively false, easily debunked things that Elon routinely features in his X feed, I can't believe anything he says anymore. He has zero credibility with me.

I'm sure there is a lot of waste, but if it was Congress that appropriated the money, the president does not have Constitutional authority to change it on his own. This strikes directly at separation of powers which is THE fundamental point of the Constitution outside of the Bill of Rights. That sounds preachy, but we brush this aside and we're stuck with what the Founders specifically established to avoid, which was an all powerful king.
You want to stop spending money on certain things, then do it the legal and correct way like Ronald Reagan did.
Or get out the scissors and help cut the remaining threads but go that way and be prepared to lose many fundamental rights.

You're not the only one. Alex Karp, CEO of Palantir, sums it up quite well. I really wish the Dems would stop throwing rocks and figure out a way to get involved. They, and the country, would be much better off with that approach.
For starters, much of what Musk calls "fraud" would be better classified as "things I don't agree with". Or excesses or inefficiencies. Words are losing their meaning, and you guys know how much that bugs me.

The FAR has a pretty expansive view of Fraud, Waste, and Abuse. It can range from 'arbitrary and capricious exercise of authority inconsistent with DoD goals or contract execution' to 'careless or inefficient use of resources.' These things can lead to debarment, even if not explicit fraud.
