Unreal. Here's a WH memo that all but blames the crash on DEI and "problematic and likely illegal decisions" by Obama and Biden.

They aren't going to surprise and do a good job. We're heading into disaster. This isn't his first term when he had some sane people around him.Originally posted by frank ryan View Post
Yeah, we've been saying that and getting shit for it. This is Putin's cabinet. We have to stop pretending Trump is normal and that things will be normal and lean in to being extra good humans.

Here we go...
President Donald Trump reiterated that the United States is going to place 25% tariff on goods imported from Canada and Mexico while signing executive actions from the Oval Office on Thursday.

Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!
For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Are we going to give Elon Musk and DOGE access to a sensitive Federal Government payment system? Elon Musk is a government official. DOGE is not a government entity. He has billions of dollars in interest with the government. Why is congress abdicating its responsibility here?

The Idiot just needs to shut his mouth and let the investigation proceed. Have some respect for the service members who lost their lives. He is so afraid of any of this coming back on him. It's all about him.
Yesterday it was DEI at FAA. Today it's the Army (even though this looks like the most likely scenario).
Just shut up already.

Dude, you should knock off early for the weekend, turn off the twitter machine, and do something to take your mind off anything other than enjoying yourself. Perhaps a Renaissance fair or some LARPing would do the trick. If you're really adventurous maybe some golf or a pro sporting event.Originally posted by myboynoah View PostThe Idiot just needs to shut his mouth and let the investigation proceed. Thank you for your concern. I'm good. Went running this morning and we're going to the ballet tonight. Having old friends over for dinner tomorrow. I'm an excellent multitasker.Originally posted by Shaka View Post

Renaissance fairs are for weirdos IMHO.

He tells it like it is.Originally posted by USUC View PostI think Shane Gillis had a bit about Trump just being your average dummy on social media responding in real time to news as it comes in. Not ideal for a politician, but this idiot operates on that level.
The problem is his perception of "how it is" and what to do about it is complete garbage.

I also agree with Shaka in that you should avoid letting Trump turn you into an outrage merchant, which is what Trump himself and the MAGA crowd have been for the past four years. I truly believe that consuming and redistributing outrage for the next four years will not be healthy for you.

Have fun everyone.
WASHINGTON (AP) — The 25% tax that President Donald Trump plans to slap on imports from Canada and Mexico as soon as Saturday could drive up the price of everything from gasoline and pickup trucks, to Super Bowl party guacamole dip.
The tariffs would also invite retaliation. Doug Ford, the premier of Ontario, has already vowed to counterpunch by pulling American alcohol off store shelves in the Canadian province – no idle threat; Canada is the world’s No. 2 market for America’s distilled spirits (behind the 27-nation European Union).
Trump’s tariffs threaten to blow up the trade agreement he himself negotiated with America’s neighbors in his first term. His U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement – “the fairest, most balanced, and beneficial trade agreement we have ever signed into law,’’ Trump once declared -- was supposed to bring predictability to North American trade, giving businesses the confidence to make investments.
