Don't know if this is a true reflection or how pervasive and "panic" might be, but it wouldn't be surprising given current trends. But even thinking about replacing Trump at the top of the ticket? Crazy talk. That would bring worse results as MAGA would sit it out and it would be a wipeout. Just gotta ride that horse you came in on.

The betting odds for House control has been wild over the last couple of days. Dems have a strong chance of taking a clear majority. Right now the Senate looks really close. Odds still put it at 51 - 49 for GOP. Next likely is 50-50. I used to be a big proponent of split government, but executive power and orders is how the country has been run for last couple of decades. Presidents side step congress (which congress prefers so they can grandstand on TV instead of legislating and working on compromises) and govern via the administrative state. My guess is you'll disagree with me, but I think the Dem attacks on the court are objectionable and dangerous. The shenanigans for the SCOTUS proposed by Dems are outrageous and would be detrimental to the country. I'd prefer whoever wins the presidency not also have control of congress.
