Might as well compound my earnings; I'll take $100 of your dollars against $100 of mine. My $100 says that we'll be invading Syria.
I really doubt we invade Syria. The Russians present a bit of a problem.

And I don't gamble much, other than the occasional sporting event. Besides, how would we define terms? After all, we already a number of troops on the ground. The invasion is already on.
    PLesa excuse the tpyos.

    • Wonder when Trump will take credit for and tweet about this.

      Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Yeah, how many more troops do we need in Syraq before it is considered an invasion? If it was up to Graham...

          • SO what is the take amongst the Trump haters about his realtionship with Russia now, after the Sryia strike? Is he not as cozy with Putin as it seemed or is this part of an elaborate ruse to deceive the masses into believing he opposes Putin when in fact he is working with him?
            PLesa excuse the tpyos.

I think most of them are struggling to come to the realization that Trump didn't start WWIII. Give them a couple more days and they'll respond.

So now we openly mock Trump haters in this thread?

                Oh how times have changed.

Mock? Not at all. It is sincere. I think we all conceded that at either end of the specrum there is a set of unreasonable people. I wonder how they se what happened. I am not sure it is dispositive either way, but it certainbly seems like he is not putins lapdog. I do wonder if the desire to rpove that is driving him which would be unfortunate.

No impact. My dislike of Trump isn't based on Russia relations.

We are equal opportunity snotheads. I blame popular culture and doing away with prayers at school. Popular culture seems to legitimize discrimination but it just carves out its protected classes. On this venue we reject this modern view of discrimination in that we just ignore all protected classes and treat everyone as equally shitty as we can!

                        It's complicated. Ask Vladimir.

Wow, big cajones to mock Trump haters on here. You automatically fall out of the intellectually honest caregory

Ditto. I thought Trump was a person of low moral character, bereft of any true convictions, and the greatest self-promoter of my lifetime, long before there was a Russian issue. Recent events have done nothing to change that view.

I would counter that the Russia thing is a bizarre sidelight that makes sense to no one, including most of his staunchest supporters. But as others here have said, it was never the main problem his detractors have ever had with him. He's still been grossly incompetent so far. It's just funny now how the Steve Bannon faction of his supporters are abandoning him left and right now because of one highly limited strike on an airbase.

Simple: Trump's brand is perception of power. The missile strike differentiated him from Obama. If there's a relationship with Putin (which I doubt), it took a back seat to the show of force.

That's not to argue the merits of the missile strike. It's just the 'id' behind the attack.
