Ha. Trumpologists are popping up everywhere lately.Originally posted by creekster View PostThe thing that I didnt realize was just how fragile the scientific endeavor is. I read the transcript of Trump's ABC interview. Good hell, what a mess. He does not accept evidence contrary to his opinions.
I'm beginning to see Trump as the id of all his supporters."...you pointy-headed autopsy nerd. Do you think it's possible for you to post without using words like "hilarious," "absurd," "canard," and "truther"? Your bare assertions do not make it so. Maybe your reasoning is too stunted and your vocabulary is too limited to go without these epithets."

I've concluded that his hard-core base are one of two things. They are all either kooky or irrationally angry, or both. The kooky ones believe all the crazy stuff he says, and the angry ones know most of what he says is crazy but they're so angry they voted for him just to give the finger to the rest of the country.Originally posted by Applejack View PostThe guy is kooky.

The politicization of science is a statement about politics, not science. Trump is on a trajectory to make things much worse, not better."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."

If you disagreed with President Obama on anything, you are a racist. If you agree with Trump on anything you are a Trumpologist.
I agree with Trump:
1) Tax reform
2) Redoing trade agreements
3) The pipeline
4) Supreme Court Appointment (#1 priority)
5) Immigration
a)Stengthen the border patrol
b)block immigrants from known terrorist areas until vetting is improved
c)round up criminal undocumenteds
6) The EPA needs change
7) CNN mainly and NBC,ABC and CBS are doing their best to deligitimize Trump
Disagree with Trump
1) The popular vote. There aren't enough fraudulent votes to make up the Hillary margin is bogus. Waste of time and energy pursuing it.
2) Immigration
a) He put his wall thing as a big to do. Somehow he has to wiggle his way out of that
b) I am for all law abiding undocumented to stay, but not receive automatic citizenship. I am for what Bush was trying to do.
3) Twittering is a net negative
4) Name calling when you get your feelings hurt. Probably the only thing you agree with Trump on.
If that makes me a Trumpologist in your mind, I can deal with it.

Okay. I am not sure what that really means or how it really changes the outcome of anything, but it sure sounds great!Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostThe politicization of science is a statement about politics, not science. Trump is on a trajectory to make things much worse, not better.

This shows a character flaw of mine. A few years ago I used to watch her late night talk show. I will admit she was funny. I stopped watching though because back in my youth she would be considered a "slut". I know times of changed and that isn't the case in todays society.Originally posted by Uncle Ted View Post

But this is the worst stage. Senility with moments of sobriety where you are aware of how unaware you are becoming. Stay strong my friend! In a short while life becomes very exciting where everyone you meet is a stranger.Originally posted by byu71 View PostThis shows a character flaw of mine. I'm choosing to mostly ignore your fatuity here and instead overwhelm you with so much data that you'll maybe, just maybe, realize that you have reams to read on this subject before you can contribute meaningfully to any conversation on this topic.

You are falling prey to the same trap Hillary fell for.Originally posted by BlueK View PostI've concluded that his hard-core base are one of two things. They are not kooky or angry, but somewhat practical given their lose-lose situation.
They are like Buffalo Bills fans, who year in and year out, know, despite their love for the team, that ultimately the team will mostly suck and do nothing. They show up, year in and year out.
Suddenly, a new General Manager shows up and promise to shake up the status quo. He says a lot of quirky things, but he shows energy and promises to make changes so that not only will the Bills make the playoffs, they are going to the Super Bowl. You don't believe it at first, because all the other team managers are laughing.
But he hires a new coach, starts making trades like crazy, and totally redesigns the team. Others are claiming foul, and he keeps saying weird things, but things are changing, so you hope, "maybe, just maybe...."
I think the hard care are more like Bills fans."Guitar groups are on their way out, Mr Epstein."
Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.
