Emotionally I am fine but my left heel has been hurting pretty severely for almost five months now (ever since my last mountain trek) and at this point I guess I need to admit that it isn't going to get better on its own and go see a doctor. Thank you for asking.

Me too (the heel pain, not a mountain trek)! I just got diagnosed with Haglund's deformity. I'm doing physiotherapy now with some benefit, but I'm not sure if I'm going to get out of surgery in the end.

Ouch. Thats does not sound good. You shoudl wait on surgery to see if Trump can help (just trying to tie it back to the thread). Best of luck.

Keep doing the therapy. Get a night splint. It takes time but typically gets better.

He feels equally uncharitable toward gays, Hindus, Muslims, Catholics and Jews, so we've got that going for us, which is nice. Buckle your seat belts, it's going to be a bumpy four years.

Hope the good pastor remains in DC and doesn't return to Dallas. He shows up on the local news every once in a while. I remember him begrudgingly supporting Romney after the primaries in 2012 (he opposed him before then) and stating that while Romney as a Mormon had many common values with Southern Baptists, he wasn't a Christian.

I just got diagnosed with Haglund's deformity.

Looking at pictures of that, now I know what to call that ugly thing on my heels. They can hurt like a mother sometimes, especially when I am doing a lot of mileage or lots of hill running. The worst part is that my shoes wear out in the heels before anywhere else.
