LOL others are reporting Trump is now thinking about opposing the release of the warrant. Spoiler alert-- the judge is not going to agree but it will be funny when he loses the motion.

if Trump really took nuclear secrets, prison is the only result that makes any possible sense.
I am going to withhold judgement until Uncle Ted has a chance to shit post an excuse or a whataboutism.

    • Clearly Trump is a cancer and toxic to the country. I want to see him go down as much as anyone, but I'm a little hesitant to spike the ball until we see how this plays out in full. I get the sense everyone is spinning something that isn't even fully come to light. I don't Trust MAGA world but I'm not exactly fully confident in the FBI and justice department. If Trump had nuclear documents, why is this only being done 18 months later?

Spiking the ball? Come on. This is the guy that could literally shoot someone on Fifth Ave and get away with it. Nobody seriously thinks this will tank him.

What nuclear documents are we talking about here? There is no reason that a president should have nuclear weapons design documents... that is dumb. He may have a manual entitled "How to operate the nuclear football for dummies" but not nuclear weapons design documents. If the search warrant was for finding nuclear weapons design docs then call me skeptical. He may have taken the "nuclear biscuit" (the smart secure card that plugs into the nuclear football with the presidential codes) but the codes changed at noon on 1/20/21 so the "biscuit" would be worthless but a nice souvenir. Maybe he tried to take the nuclear football itself. That would be cool but he doesn't carry that and it would be hard to get. Maybe it was a classified version of the Nuclear Posture Review. It will be interesting to see what the search warrant says exactly what they were looking for.

It will be a while before the warrant is released. Trump and lawyers will now argue against releasing it. The judge will disagree. Then it will be the same delay crap he always does. A string of appeals and losing every time, once or twice even with judges he appointed, then finally Supreme Court declines to take the case, 9-0. Maybe a month.

Could be briefings on the workings of the NNSA, the guys whose job it is to make sure bad actors don't get their hands on nuclear material and who work to prevent its deployment if they do. Discussions of past missions, future operations, etc.

The kinds of things that would be incredibly valuable to those same bad actors.

For all of Trump's bullshit about being persecuted, the truth is it couldn't be more the opposite. He gets away with stuff no one else can.

                            • He truly is a horrible person:

                              On the lighter side:

Your bare assertions do not make it so. Maybe your reasoning is too stunted and your vocabulary is too limited to go without these epithets."

He's worse than horrible, and does the nation incalculable damage with his groundless attacks on government. That "Statement by the DJT, the 45th Presdient..." is classic Trump--no evidence or any factual support (and, indeed, flat out contradicted by today's National Archives statement JL linked elsewhere). The "Word is, lots" statement is a Trump variation of, "I hear things" which in his mind gives him cover for making up self-serving bullshit. I cannot understand how those who sincerely like Trump's "policies" are able to support Trump. Those "policies" could be implemented by others with far superior ethical and intellectual character. The nation needs to rid itself of this pestilence.
