I don’t know. It seems pretty close to Bill Maher’s take on Islam. There are significant issues with Muslim teachings, as there are with most religions (Mormons certainly aren’t excluded). The lefts embrace of Islam is baffling given the misogynistic, homophobic, nationalistic, supernatural nature of the religion.Originally posted by old_gregg View Postupon further reflection this is a truly revolting take.

Yup, Moliere. It might be one of the few areas ever where my thoughts align with Maher, but he makes solid points. og, on the other hand, has the same programmed response as Charlie Rose who can't deal with the facts.Originally posted by Moliere View PostI don’t know. I think it was a version of the "yeah, we suck, but these guys are worse" that pretty much everyone seems to be using to justify defending the indefensible. I agree with Crockett that religious zealots cause a lot of problems in the world. So have secularists. Stalin and Mao weren't front and center in any church that I know of. The world's problems aren't caused by religion. Rather, despots use religion to justify their actions, and the desperate and ignorant follow along.Originally posted by old_gregg View Postupon further reflection this is a truly revolting take.
Of all the cases against Trump, I think the case for him being a true racist is the weakest. He's done racist things, which may make him a racist depending on your definition, but I think he's more of an opportunist. I don't thinks he hates racists or religions; I think he just has no respect for any of them and therefore does bigoted things to play to the extremists in his party. Maybe it's a distinction without a difference...sigpic

Yeah, as bad as I believe Hillary would have been, she would have at least kept her middle school bully antics hidden. Poke a rabid dog enough, and he'll eventually chew through his cage to get to you.Originally posted by BlueK View PostIt's all fun and games until nuclear war starts.sigpic

So Trump retweets those horrible inflammatory videos, at least one of which has been proven to be fake. His press secretary defended it by saying that even though the video is fake, the threat highlighted in the video is real. Bloody hell, these are the same idiots daily ranting against fake news."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."
