It seemed like a pretty harmless, anti-Trump site (the kittens don't even scratch!) — until she got a letter from the lawyers of a certain "well known businessman.

That "internationally known" and "famous" businessman (his lawyers words, not mine) is, of course, Donald Trump. In the letter, Trump's general counsel encourages the teen to cease and desist and shut down the website."

lol. On what grounds? That letter would have gone right in the garbage. Them bragging with their offering about how famous he is just tees it up for a parody exception to any sort of infringement claim.

Dilution of his brand and profiting from his intellectual property.
"Guitar groups are on their way out, Mr Epstein."

Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.

I'm no lawyer, but it doesn't seem to me Trump has any intellectual property.

Yeah. Seems like clear parody. He'd get the middle finger from me.

          • Wait... so Drumpf was actually "wire tapped"? And Comey (and Obama) didn't know anything about this?

Trump team communications captured by intelligence community surveillance, Nunes says

Members of the intelligence community "incidentally collected" communications from the Trump transition team during legal surveillance operations of foreign targets, a top Republican lawmaker said Wednesday afternoon.

House Intelligence Chairman Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif., said this produced "dozens" of reports which eventually unmasked several individuals’ identities and were "widely disseminated."

He said none of the reports he had read mentioned Russia or Russians and he was unsure whether the surveillance occurred at Trump Tower -- as President Trump has suggested. Nunes also was unsure if then President-elect Trump was captured by the surveillance, which occurred in November, December and January.

Maybe Drumpf can "incidentally" cut the CIA's and NSA's budget.

I would be genuinely amused to see his lawyers' calculation of damages from that little girl's kitten website. The only reason anybody knows about it is because they blew it up. I hope she does start to make money off of it.
