        There are so many supposedly serious GOPers squirm and choke on this (and let's be honest, there will be more to come). But the one who deserves to wiggle on a hook the most is Mike Johnson.

          It's already shifted from "It doesn't exist!" to "It's a fake/forgery!". Soon it will be, "Well, it might be real, but if so it was a setup!" and eventually it will be, "Well, it's not that bad anyway. Why do you even care and whatabout...?"

          And of course the same thing will happen in the near future over some progressive/leftist scandal or issue. Tribalism is a hell of a drug that we're all hooked on.

            Here's the deal. Trump was undercover with the FBI. Of course he's gonna pretend to befriend Epstein.

                  GOP in the 80's - The government is evil. Big Brother will take over your communities. The most dangerous words are "I'm from the government and I'm here to help."

                  GQP today, literally, "Yield, man! Let the troops come into your city and show how crime can be reduced."

                    Lol that's what the speaker is trying to insinuate. His followers will never break with him.

                    Absent anything to do with Epstein, there is plenty of evidence he is sex predator.

                    He has had double digit accusations of sexual assault and rape. He was held civilly liable for one of them. The way he speaks about his own daughter is sexual and obscene. He bragged about being able to go backstage at his beauty pageants and leer at naked underage girls. He was accused of spousal rape before his ex recanted so she could get a good divorce settlement

                      Yeah, federal government overreach for my enemies, and pardons for my friends. That sums up Trumpism nicely.

                      It is such an ignorant position of privilege that the military can just plug and play into any domestic city and effectively fight crime. For any length of time outside of an acute crisis.

                      If there's such an upside having them patrol streets in areas admittedly struggling with crime, they should be welcome with open arms in any city of a GOP state.
