For some reason the Trumpers don't see the correlation, I got a text today from a close friend and a Trump supporter telling me about the China/U.S. deal and how the market popped because of it. I try to stay away from politics with him but told him the market went up because he backed off the plan and put it on hold, he never responded to that. Part of the problem is Fox News and even Fox Business spew nothing but stuff that would appeal to their core and he is one of their core. He challenged me to watch Fox Business because I wouldn't go near Fox News and I told him to watch CNBC, which is almost all business and they spread it around with guest like Speaker Johnson. I tried an episode of Kudlow and it was terrible, nothing but Trump propaganda and he should know better with his background. Boeing is currently under contract to construct two new VC-25B (miliary versions of the 747-8). This is $3.9 billion we've already contracted to pay. The program has had its issues. Money that hasn't been allocated by Congress. Seems like a big deal there. Then there's the whole "transferred to the Trump Presidential Library before the end of his term" nonsense.
So Trump wants a $300M jet. The jet will then be remodeled to make it suitable for its purpose, assuming it can be. The jet will then be transferred to his control (technically, the National Archives control, but I'll bet you anything that he'll call the jet a personal paper). So no other president will use this jet.
Then there are the security concerns. All the program engineers working on the Boeing AF1 have had Yankee White clearance, higher than TS/SCI. Who worked on the construction of the Qatari airframe? What things might be hidden there?

Talk about flooding the zone. It’s too much to keep up with. Any one of these things would be the end of any other presidency.
The racism isn’t so subtle anymore. No more refugees from Afghanistan, Venezuela, Cuba. But for white South Africans, Trump sends a charter jet to bring them, and expedites their processing.
