          Nope.

This should enrage everyone. It's depressing that so many people go 'yeah, it makes total sense that people untrained in epidemiology can look at decades of incidence and refining definitions of autism should look into what's causing autism and our depleted federal health resources will be able to make a definitive statement in September! And we totally trust the vaccine quack to be able to sift through all that data and find the cause!"

This is becoming a full-blown crisis of trust in scientific knowledge.
"...you pointy-headed autopsy nerd. Do you think it's possible for you to post without using words like "hilarious," "absurd," "canard," and "truther"? Your bare assertions do not make it so. Maybe your reasoning is too stunted and your vocabulary is too limited to go without these epithets."
"You are an intemperate, unscientific poster who makes light of very serious matters.”

you could just address posts you disagree with directly, instead of whiny roundabout ways. just sayin. its a pattern.

In the spirit of saying nice things about people we disagree with, I appreciate that Elon has opposed the administration's groupthink around tariffs (even if it is out of self-interest).

I have also always thought AOC is kind of cute.

My nuanced view of Elon Musk is that he is a weirdo POS. SJBH.
                      Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

I took it as a statement that people here, at times, struggle with nuance.

On this point, I think the underlying issue is communication. It's difficult to express everything in this written format, and people fill in the gaps. I think I'm notoriously bad at filling in enough gaps when I say something for people to reasonably connect the dots.

The other funny thing about this place is some of you are wound way too tight. Good heavens, lighten up. It was a little joke.

I think The Dude just has a handle on sarcasm.

My 5yo granddaughter hasn't figured sarcasm out yet. Makes for some funny conversations.

My autistic son (9) has recently gotten a grasp on sarcasm. It used to enrage him. But through persistence he is now to the point when I say something sarcastic he will pause and look at me seriously and say "you're being sarcastic, aren't you dad?" When I respond yes he breaks into a smile and sometimes a chuckle. It's freaking adorable.
