What changes did biden make to the govt that involved cutting people? What were these overreaching items from biden that falls under the "same mistake"

trump isnt on the normal wave
While not the same thing exactly, the Dems got rid of the filibuster for court appointees. They didn’t think through that one enough and it has come back to haunt them big time.

When changes are made or norms are ignored, it’s always a good idea to think “how will the other party handle this once they are back in power?”

    • Can conservatives who praised the supreme courts partisan student loan ruling explain how trump can decide to shut down the Department that is funded by congress ?

      • In less than two months on the job Trump's approval rating is underwater. It took Joe Biden eight months to get here. It will get worse as prices go up, unemployment goes up, and the stock market goes down. Trump can't help making terrible decisions related to the economy because he's a moron. If anything does him in it will be the economy.

That's what ultimately took down Biden. More so than the woke stuff.

              • $100 bucks says he pushes tariffs to 50% on Canada by the end of this week or the first of next week.

It seems a game of chicken is happening between two narcissists..

I haven't seen anyone try to reconcile the two yet. But in fairness I haven't spent any time looking. Initial glance suggests a pretty broad consensus that you'd have to have an act of congress to eliminate the Department of Education.

The last time there were super high tariffs and a world trade war it led to the great depression. Have fun with that Trump, if he even cares.

I'm very cautiously optimistic that smarter people will persuade Trump to back off these tariffs and the economy will survive. It will be fun to hear what great victories Trump has achieved through these boneheaded and capricious moves.

PAC, I think the smart people are being intentionally malicious. Elon, chief among them. Read up on the PayPal mafia.

I'm not sure cares what congress says or that congress capable of doing anything other than rubber stamping whatever Trump wishes.

Great. I'm sure that will come in handy after every DoE employee has been illegally fired, the records illegally destroyed, and the budget money for the DoE illegally impounded and redirected to Musk's pet projects. And meanwhile, poor schools and special ed kids suffer.

I'm not saying there shouldn't be a fight, just that "what's legal" has, thus far, shared very little common ground with what Musk/Trump/McMahon want to do.
