    • Don't know if this is authentic, but it rings true with the stories of those that have been dismissed, and he/she marked out his/her name and position, so it seems authentic.

It's hard for me not to think FAFO, but this person has 13 years of apparently good service and only got wrapped up in this because they recently changed jobs within the civil service. But you gotta know that when you voted for Trump, you voted for chaos.

A common theme in these dismissals is that they all received the same form letter saying they were dismissed for poor performance. Many of those let go are noting that they have exceptional performance reviews, so that doesn't make sense. Colleagues are recommending that before they leave work while still officially employed they should go to HR are and start a grievance process for unwarranted and false dismissal. I don't know how that process works, but they should have a good case. Sending the same form email to thousands of employees saying they're all being let go for performance reasons strains credulity.

Just another example of how badly run the DOGE/Trump/Bolz team is. Why lie is that form letter? They've been open about what they are doing. Just say that in the letter.

      Lawsuits coming. Lots of them.

      Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Oh come on. Why didn't this happen last year when I could have cheated the US on a full years' income? This year I'll be selling my soul on a couple of months' salary!

              • More layoffs coming at national parks. maybe Elon will get rid of national parks since it kind of is a socialistic concept. DOGE is so awesome.

                    • When asked whether he has any insight into Trump’s motivations for wanting to take over Canada after his conversations in Washington, Furey said he “didn’t do enough psychiatry in medical school to pretend to understand what motivates the president of the United States at this particular moment,” and called the latter an “erratic actor.”

                          • I’ve got to imagine all these people losing jobs is going to kill Trump in the midterms. He already was likely to lose the house since that’s just what happens at midterms but I wonder if it’ll be a blue wave. This whole DOGE thing is getting outright ridiculously stupid.
"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

You mean this wasn't already the case? Good Trump.

I bought a Butterfinger the other day and it was three bucks. It wasn't that long ago that thing was fifty cents. Being able to purchase crap with food stamps isn't good. 7-11 loves it and their front windows are peppered with stickers that they accept SNAP. There's nothing in 7-11 that you should be able to purchase with SNAP. A. most of what they sell is garbage/junk food. B. Things like milk and butter are marked up to convenience store prices and buying them there isn't a good use of those funds. They should be hitting the Winco or Maceys.

I'd be fine with a food stamp grocery shopper buying a limited amount of candy for their kids. However, I've stood in line behind plenty of food stamp shoppers and their carts are usually full candy, junk food, and soda/beer. Those aren't the staples but we let them purchase those items as if they were.

                              • I'm glad the school library at the Fort Campbell school is busy removing books about slavery from those shelves. DEI has damaged those little impressionable minds. Maybe we can bring back history books once they feel more confident in their whiteness:

At Fort Campbell, administrators and librarians are interpreting the guidance to apply to anything that deals with diversity, inclusion or equity, and anything that could be perceived to promote one group over another or make one group look bad, the source said. That would include any books that mention slavery, the civil rights movement or the treatment of Native Americans.

The libraries at Fort Campbell schools are closed to students while staff removes books that could fall under the directive. At one elementary school, that has amounted to hundreds of books in several stacks, filling rolling carts. They have a deadline of Feb. 18.

“The librarians are frustrated – they’re not getting any true guidance but are getting specific time frames” for when they have to have it done, the source said.

Ironically, some of those history books on civil rights might reference the deployment of the 101st Airborne to Little Rock, Arkansas, in 1957 to protect Black students during the desegregation of a high school, a pivotal moment in civil rights history.
