And some of the screeching did seem outlandish. But put Trump in another country that doesn’t have the guardrails we have and those worst fears would be coming to pass.

Trump has been open about what he wants to do with those guardrails for his second term. What was accepted as ‘crazy, but unlikely to happen’ in the first term will be that much easier to occur in his second.
He showed us what he is willing to do. He tried overthrow and election and maintained that line continually. He were also warned by reporting from the lamestream media he was going to do that.

That was uncharted territory. Mike Pence had some honor and now has tossed him aside.

Trump and his goons have essentially gotten away with it. JD Vance has already gone on record saying he wouldn't have certified the election.

The current GOP is too corrupt or gutless to keep him in check.
They don't care about issues just Trump. He settled a lawsuit with that big news network, likely because they wanted to avoid discovery, and the story becomes Trump is being picket. They don't care that while he may have been found labeled for actions that legally fell under the definition of rape, he was held liable for sexual assault.

Both sides do a ton of "sanewashing." Treating the weird plans he throws out and shit he says as well-intended and intelligently thought out and then scrambles to have it makes sense.

Denmark lost like 50 or 60 soldiers in Afghanistan. That may not seem like much but they contributed politically, financially, and diplomatically in a very reliable manner.

Way to piss on that sacrifice and encourage our friends that their efforts won't be acknowledged.

Its's cringy watching Trump do the best he can to epitomize the stereotype of the ugly American.

Yeah, this is going is swimmingly. Just stupid, and that's true.

          Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

You have a better grasp on foreign affairs and geopolitics than most anyone on here.
Trump's foreign policy is Putin's wet dream.
Trump chided Zelenskyy for being responsible for the Ukraine War. But his allegiance to Putin is totally made up by liberals!

Mexico refused a deportation flight to the US. Maybe we will invade them. So glad evil Kamala didn't win and Biden is gone!

It's insane stupidity. Trump seems intent on destroying our alliances with long term friends that have been built up over time based on shared values and interests. This is not going to end well.

Trump does not understand soft power. As in, seems to be fundamentally incapable of understanding it, and therefore constantly undermines it.

For instance, if you read an email from a San Francisco high school about an ICE officer sitting on a school bus and approaching a middle school kid to ask for his ID and where he's from just apply a bit of skepticism. Like that sure is odd that an ICE officer is sitting on a middle school bus and randomly asks a middle school kid for his ID. Then think about the stories you've heard from middle school kids that often turn out to be distant cousin of reality. You might even consider that the story is so outrageous that you hold judgment until more facts come out. That way if the story ends up being nonsense (Jussie Smollet, Steele dossier, etc.), then you can hold your head high that you didn't fall for or propagate misinformation. If the story is true then you can safely mount that high horse knowing that you gave it a fair hearing and your outrage is appropriately placed.
Another ICE raid, this time in an elementary school…oh wait, it’s a false story being propagated by the left as evidenced by the community note.

"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

Anything remotely liberal is "the left." It's a liberal media influencer who retweeted something that was false and got fact checked which it should.

You take a lot more delicate approach when it comes to the myriad of crap, including the racist stuff, that Musk "propagates."

I don’t remember everything I post but I’d be interested in where I took this approach to something musk did that was racist.

Ed Krassenstein is not "the left." He and his brother are clowns and known grifters. They managed to get themselves "permanently banned" from Twitter for this kind of crap when Trump was still in office the first time. Elon let them back and they're back at it. They've long used fake followers and fake accounts to boost their cons.

Looks more like it was a misunderstanding by the school. Secret Service was looking for an 11-year-old who posted an anti-Trump video.

Secret Service Agents — Not ICE — Denied Entry At Chicago School

CPS officials initially said agents who identified themselves as ICE arrived at Hamline Elementary School in Back of the Yards Friday, but it was actually Secret Service agents looking for an 11-year-old who posted an anti-Trump video, a CPS source said.

                            • The gatekeeping distracted from Moli’s point, which nicely supported mine. Here’s the Democrat Gov of Illinois whiffing on this one.

                              • This is not a good thing, and it is true.

Trump folks don't want oversight while they back up the trucks and clear out the coffers. Will Senate repubs grow a pair?

Trump ousts at least 12 independent inspectors general in late-night purge

The White House late Friday fired the independent inspectors general of at least 12 major federal agencies in a purge that could clear the way for President Donald Trump to install loyalists in the crucial role of identifying fraud, waste and abuse in the government.

The inspectors general were notified by emails from the White House personnel director that they had been terminated immediately, according to people familiar with the actions, who like others in this report spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss the private messages.

The dismissals appeared to violate federal law, which requires Congress to receive 30 days’ notice of any intent to fire a Senate-confirmed inspector general.
