Why do you say that? It's quite likely that some conservative organizations have been debanked due to their political affiliation. It's a significant enough concern amongst Republicans that some states have changed law to address it. So when he says it's a systemic issue, that strikes me as hyperbole.

It's an exaggeration to say that Elizabeth Warren runs the NCFP, but probably not much of one. She proposed the organization, ensured it was included in Dodd-Frank, served as a special advisor to the Treasury Secretary during its formation, and ran it for its first year. The whole thing is what gave her a national profile. It's not unreasonable to think that, given her history with the organization and her position as ranking member on the Senate Banking Committee, she has abnormal influence over the agency.

I don't know what Rogan Russia take you're referring to, but I've listened to him enough to believe he's honest. Definitely not right all the time, but he's not being dishonest about it.

    • Elizabeth Warren has a third grade understanding of capitalism and regulations, which is why it’s scary when she touches anything.

Debanking happens. Progressives pushed hard to debank oil and gas companies. It worked, for a bit. Many sovereign funds divested of O&G investments. Large banks stopped giving lines of credit and stopped participating in other funding measures. Interestingly enough, PE backed firms have made a killing on investments in O&G companies, so much so that banks and pension funds are reinvesting after shrugging off the cries from progressives.
"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

      • Gun manufacturers have also been debanked - especially after the Parkland shooting.

Rogan is pumping out Kremlin propaganda that the US engaged in a coup in Ukraine encouraged into Pro-Western circles. This forced poor, picked on Russia to start an imperialistic invasion of Ukraine.

Rogan sees Alex Jones as a serious and insightful person. That speaks for itself.

          • Future sec of defense mother

            Son,

I have tried to keep quiet about your character and behavior, but after listening to the way you made Samantha feel today, I cannot stay silent. And as a woman and your mother I feel I must speak out..

You are an abuser of women — that is the ugly truth and I have no respect for any man that belittles, lies, cheats, sleeps around, and uses women for his own power and ego. You are that man (and have been for years) and as your mother, it pains me and embarrasses me to say that, but it is the sad, sad truth.

I am not a saint, far from it.. so don’t throw that in my face,. but your abuse over the years to women (dishonesty, sleeping around, betrayal, debasing, belittling) needs to be called out.

Sam is a good mother and a good person (under the circumstances that you created) and I know deep down you know that. For you to try to label her as “unstable” for your own advantage is despicable and abusive. Is there any sense of decency left in you? She did not ask for or deserve any of what has come to her by your hand. Neither did Meredith.

I know you think this is one big competition and that we have taken her side… bunk… we are on the side of good and that is not you. (Go ahead and call me self-righteous, I dont’ care)

Don’t you dare run to her and cry foul that we shared with us… that’s what babies do. It’s time for someone (I wish it was a strong man) to stand up to your abusive behavior and call it out, especially against women

We still love you, but we are broken by your behavior and lack of character. I don’t want to write emails like this and never thought I would. If it damages our relationship further, then so be it, but at least I have said my piece. \[Redacted\]

And yes, we are praying for you (and you don’t deserve to know how we are praying, so skip the snarky reply)

I don’t want an answer to this… I don’t want to debate with you. You twist and abuse everything I say anyway. But… On behalf of all the women (and I know it’s many) you have abused in some way, I say… get some help and take an honest look at yourself…

            • That’s really questionable for the Times to publish that. They interviewed his mom who said she later apologized to Hegseth for the email. Even if she’s walking back valid points, to publish this is just shady.

there are other much more valid reasons to oppose Hegseth.

Your bare assertions do not make it so. Maybe your reasoning is too stunted and your vocabulary is too limited to go without these epithets."

It's still a good one. These allegations would justifiably sink any democratic nominee for his position

I don't know very much about S Korean politics but the president's reason for this claiming that the opposition party are all aligned with N Korea I find to be extremely hard to believe.

Also, as a response to your question just suppose several months down the road he has implemented massive tarrifs and removed a massive number of immigrants from the country. As a result, inflation has shot way up, unemployment has shot way up, the stock market has crashed wiping out a big portion of the country's retirement savings, and there are huge protests everywhere. Under a scenario like that, not sure you can put many limits on thinking what Trump might try to do.

None of those are valid reasons for opposing Hegseth, IMO. Well, the contents of the email anyway. If women were to come out and claim abuse or whatever, that's another story. Who's to say who is right in this situation. Family relationships are never easy. I am dealing with a family issue right now that seems straightforward, but is actually plagued with thorns and pitfalls.
