"Guitar groups are on their way out, Mr Epstein."

Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.

Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

I'm not big on either of these candidates.

As for third party, I believe strongly in the two party system, and I believe third party politics within our current system is a bigger threat to the stability of the system than bad candidates from the two major parties.

As for not voting, I believe in voting, so I'm forced to choose between Trump and Clinton.

In the comparison Hillary vs Trump...I think Hillary's too liberal for my tastes on many issues, but I don't think she'll do anything that would hurt the economy much, probably better than Obama in that regard, and he was fine, except for Obamacare. I wouldn't vote for Trump because of his protectionist rhetoric and generally because he's a dufus. I see neither of them working that well with Congress, which isn't always a bad thing. I'm not that bothered with all the accusations that she's corrupt. We have a system in place that limits corruption for the most part, and they're all most likely a little corrupt or corruptible. I also like that Hillary is female, and it's time we crossed that off as a nation.

        So it's Hillary.
Nah, the two party system is hopelessly broken at this point. The reason is that most congressional districts have been gerrymandered into one-party systems. What that means is that local politicians have no incentive to ever listen to the voices of those in the minority while the loudest of the majority which tend to be the extremists are the ones they hear the most. It's not going to be fixed any time soon.

There is a theory in political science I can't remember the name of that says that the number of national parties tends to equal the number of representative seats per district, plus one. So therefore we have a two party country. We desperately need to shake things up or it's only going to get worse and that next wannabe dictator is going to be even worse than Ttump. I propose a Constitutional amendment to have every district represented by two instead of one. Voters could only vote for one person and the top two vote getters win a seat. A third party would naturally spring up and force the other two to listen to more points of view.

Second Amendment? Gone, baby.
Trump gets all his ways and the first, fourth and fifth amendments? Gone baby.

These Amendments are doing pretty poorly already. Conservative jurists are much better on individual liberty than liberal ones these days. The claim that Trump will be some sort of Mussolini is largely based on his bluster which is just that, bluster. If Trump is president, even if he wanted to be some quasi dictator, the media will rediscover separation of powers and executive overreach like they did with Bush and be all over him. As with Obama, they'll cheer and/or largely ignore any of Hillary's assaults on individual liberty and the Constitution.

So don't judge him on his statements or public persona, got it. What does that leave voters to make a choice come November?

There are only about 10 staunch Democrats on this board. Just look at all the wadded panties in the 2016 Presidential thread.

I find it interesting that only 5.88% on here would vote for Trump right now.

How many people are saying publicly they won't vote for him who will check his name in secret? I know a few people who have confessed as much to me and wonder if there are others.

What kind of secret underground society is going on behind the scenes? I never would have guessed CS had a dark underbelly.

Probably there are people out there who get tired of being called racist. Stupid, uneducated, a hillbilly or a white male who only cares about guns ..... if you even like a few things he says

I hope Johnson gets a shot. I wonder what those who like him will get called

Please America realize any alternative is better than Hillary and Donald

Sorry, I guess I wasn't clear. Not CS'ers who told me that, but it makes me wonder if others are voting for him in secret seeing as the people who told me they are voting for him are similar to the typical CS poster.
