The part about universal child care, criminal justice reform, affordable housing, gun reform, anti-corruption government reform, lobby reform, not to mention she's about the only candidate that has informed herself and spoken intelligently and forcefully about immigration reform. That seems to be way too much reading for Biden.

The student loan thing is whatever, but Bernie's overtures for wholesale economic system reform don't resonate with me. Good great we care about people, but how is this feasible and what precautions could be taken to make sure this doesn't backfire in the worst way? Warren has ideas and at least acts like she's done her homework to support them...

Did it win her any votes? No. That's because no one likes her. Plus, that was Mike's first time on stage. There was a lot of low-hanging fruit.

I know that Warren has a snowball's chance in Hell to get into the Main Event other than a VP pick, but out of all the candidates she is going to prepare and prepare and prepare and prepare. This off-the-cuff stuff Trump likes to do isn't going to work on someone like her who is not afraid of hard work. Hillary thought she would just crush him just by showing up (and who could blame her) and he managed to get under her skin without being too substantive.

I don't think it won her any votes because it's pretty much between the two polar opposites in this race, and there's not enough oxygen for someone like her who demonstrates both moderate and progressive qualities- it's confusing to voters, I think. Bernie has momentum and brand recognition and Biden has momentum and brand recognition. And that's what counts in a primary race.

If it weren't for her dishonesty and her ridiculous economic policies, she would be a decent candidate.

She will try to debate him on a high level and he will drag her down into the slop. When she's covered in mud, her preparation isn't going to mean anything.

I didn't vote for her, but I think she's the smartest and the hardest-working of the bunch (now that Pete's out). She's staked herself out as far left, but I don't think she's nearly as attached to her positions as Bernie is, and is pragmatic enough to make concessions to build some sort of consensus. She's also much more likable than I think people give her credit for. I would love to see a Biden-Warren ticket, although I don't know if she'd ever go for it.

Now that's what I'm talking about. We gotta get rid of this :

Does she really believe in anything? Seems to me her positions are always politically calibrated to exploit a seam. Too bad for her she underestimated Sanders. She should have run as a moderate.

                    • I wasn't going to vote today, but a couple new polls came out within the last 24 hours showing Bernie and Biden nearly tied in Utah so I figured I might as well vote against Bernie. Not a fan of Biden at all, but he'd do far less damage to the country and economy than Bernie would. It's unfortunate that the Democrats decided to coalesce around Biden instead of one of the more appealing "moderates," but it is what it is.

                      • I voted for Bill Weld. Not sure who I would have voted for had I crossed over to the open Dem race. Pretty sure my vote wouldn't have stopped Bernie or Warren anyways.

So you have to do something out of the ordinary to vote in the dem primary as am independent in Utah? If not I may stop by tonight and case a vote for little Mike.

I think everyone puts too much stock in the debates. Other than Nixon sweating next to the smooth JFK, when did the debates actually sway an election?

I do think Warren is much less likable than her supporters believe and also profoundly dishonest. When she tried to put some meat on the bones of bernies nutty ideas she instantly dropped in the polls because the math doesnt work. So her "I have a plan for that" approach would probably tank in a general election. Unless she decides to change her ideology again and go back to embracing the free market.

Nope. They just asked if I wanted a Democrat or Republican ballot and I said Democrat. I got a Republican ballot in the mail, so I had to go vote in person.
