I wonder if Bloomberg jumping into the race only helps Sanders. One more moderate to split the vote and let Sanders glide to the nomination. Had Bloomberg not been at the debate this week, most of the fire would have been directed at Sanders as the frontrunner. Instead most of the time was spent trying to discredit Bloomberg.

I think Bloomberg is also helping Drumpf... He has pumped over $450 million into the president's economy!

Joining any debate before Super Tuesday was a huge mistake by Bloomberg. The other candidates have been debating for 8 months, there is nothing fresh for the them to say to each other. Bloomberg jumped right into a hornets nest.

You may not need to write in Mitt. If Bloomberg wins the Dems nomination I am guessing Mitt will be his running mate... They are like two peas in a pod:

On top of his pervasive national advertising, Bloomberg pays his staff huge salaries and furnishes his rally attendees with catered buffets. (If you can’t appeal to voters’ hearts, you appeal to their heads or, if it comes down to it, their literal guts.)

And, like Romney, Bloomberg tries to fit in with his party. Both men made convenient shifts on policy in order to pursue the presidency — Romney against abortion and health-care reform, Bloomberg reversing his support for the stop-and-frisk policing he defended during his time as mayor — but neither developed persuasive explanations. Instead, the pandering was so transparent it clarified the implied appeal: Just let me be the manager; I’m not an inspiring reformer, but I can run a railroad.

The root pitch for both candidates is that they are the careful, competent, electable guys. Romney advertised how he saved the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics and built up businesses such as Staples and Sports Authority. On Thursday in Salt Lake, the words “common sense” appeared three times in Bloomberg’s short speech.

Biggest news is that the Quinnipiac poll out just yesterday has Trump 7-11 points ahead of all democrats in Wisconsin. If Sanders is nominated, Democrats will be conceding Florida. Floridians of Cuban ancestry almost to a person won't vote for lifelong Communist and admirer of Castro. Retireds who lived through the Cold War, about the same, especially those who are pro-Israel. Conceding Florida is like cutting your hand off before a fight. If Trump has Wisconsin and Florida secured, that's ballgame, to say nothing about what that portends about the other swing states and states newly in play. For a preview of what appears to be happening, see Johnson vs. Corbyn.

The woke and socialists should be careful what they wish for. If Trump wins a landslide popular vote and 39-44 states vs. Sanders, that's the end of woke and socialist movements.

I've always thought it would be near impossible for Trump to win the popular vote with the margins he's likely to lose by in places like California and New York along with slimming margins in Texas. But Sanders opens up that possibility. We definitely do not need President Trump with a strong mandate.
