I'm interested in whether DoD funds are actually spent to support these shows, or if the facilities are rented. I think Austin and the DoD is under pressure not to look any more "woke" than it already does.

It is ironic to tell someone they are "attacking trans people" by having reservations about the appropriateness of drag shows in certain circumstances, while at the same time lecturing them about engaging in the culture wars. It seems you are on the front lines.

Are there really ‘drag shows’ happening in elementary schools? Or is someone reading a book dressed in drag?

I’m sure there have been drag reading hours where someone has done something inappropriate, but let’s be honest, they aren’t doing a full blown drag show for 7 year olds on the whole.

I don’t know anyone from the LBGTQ community that would argue that a show that happens in a club for adults, should happen in a library or public school.

I’ve read to a class this year, had I shown up in drag would anyone here be opposed to my participation?
