lol sad. This is their 'black friend' so that they can weigh in on racial issues such as 'why is the white race ordained the ruling class?' and 'how can we have more white babies so that we are always the majority?'"I'm anti, can't no government handle a commando / Your man don't want it, Trump's a bitch! US slave owners were overwhelmingly Democratic Party members. British abandoned slavery decades before we did in the US. The joke works much better this way.Originally posted by Commando View Post
Maybe. I think I was just riffing on why I didn't think it was funny, but if they had made the jab about him being British it would have been much better."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."

I think it's hilarious that some of you write with absolute certainty how historical figures would think about either political party. I could just as easily claim JFK would be disgusted by the state of the Democrat party. I suspect that Reagan wouldn't have any kind of fit over the Confederate flag. His presidency was in the era when that flag didn't have all the meaning people like to attach to it today. The freaking General Lee drove around everyone's TV screens back then with a fat old Confederate Flag right on the roof. There weren't a lot of people, if any, crapping their pants over it.

Yeah, that wouldn't fly in today's climate."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."

I just assumed it was the combination of all republicans in Lincoln and Douglas counties, Nevada.Originally posted by LVAllen View Post
Local county party is holding a Lincoln-Douglass Dinner. Normally, you'd think that would have some reference to the Lincoln-Douglas debates, and that the party can't spell. Nope. They are referring to Frederick Douglass, and proudly holding out his statement that he was a firm Republican, as if Frederick Douglass would have anything but contempt for the modern GOP.Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. This is a good point. The only thing I think we can say with some degree of certainty is that Reagan would be pretty pissed that Republicans are resisting the chance to stick it to Russia.Originally posted by Shaka View PostI think it's hilarious that some of you write with absolute certainty how historical figures would think about either political party. Disagree. He was a very good president.Originally posted by Maximus View PostLet's stop worshipping Reagan. He's a terrible person and president"Discipleship is not a spectator sport.
