Very cool, PAC. Thanks for the report. Those four horsemen are loud and proud today.

Russia is waging a war against the West. It doesn't matter if someone recognizes the outsized influence Putin has on Trump or not, it's happening.
Cutting undersea cables, assassinations, sabotage. One of my bigger worries seems to be going unaddressed which is Russia shoving the US and France out of Africa. Some are lionizing it as a response to colonialism but that belies the truth which is that many of these nations had democratic govs toppled by military juntas. I think it is all about locking up resources and could end being a game changer.

This articles discusses some of the concerns about Russian imperialism. Including expressing some of the significant concerns.

"Putin will not shy away from causing mass casualties in the next phase of Russia's 'hidden war' against the West, an expert has claimed in the wake of suspected 'hybrid' efforts to sow disruption in Europe through alleged sabotage plots.

Keir Giles, an expert on the Russia at Chatham House, told Metro that civilians are 'likely' to be the victims of future plots, and that the West should expect a surge in terror attacks soon.

The Kremlin has been accused of orchestrating attacks on European soil as retribution for the West's broad backing of Ukraine against Russia's full-scale invasion, or to undermine support for Kyiv."

Trump's picks for his admin are like a Kremlin Wishlist, with how many isolatationists are willing involved. JD Vance, Gabbard etc.

Elon Musk also isn't helping the West. All this valid talk about TikTok but similar concerns abound with twitter.

Reporter: "Do you view Ukraine as an equal member of this peace process?"

Dumpster: (Coke sniff). "It's an interesting question. I think they have to make peace. Their people are getting killed and they have to make peace."

        Asshole of monumental proportions.

Another American detained in Russia. Big middle finger to Trump.

Why, as an American, would anyone travel to Russia at this time?
          Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

            Yeah, not worth it.

I hate that we have to exchange criminals for teachers.

Or trade a whole country like Ukraine.

It's insane. Americans, go someplace else.

Vance's recent comment about how the U.S. would bring economic and military measures to bear on Russia if peace isn't achieved is probably the first thing encouraging thing I've heard from the current administration and I hope to hear more. Otherwise, Trump and Vance have been horrible and often simply stupid on the issue (see, e.g., Trump's comment with respect to Ukraine that "that was not a good war to go into", as if Ukraine had had a choice in the matter). Here's a pretty funny but accurate summary of how Trump's doing on Ukraine, including the note that we're one month into the 24 hours that Trump insisted was all he needed to settle things.

Let me help you. Don't believe what little rhetoric might trickle out that is critical of Russia. There have never been any actions from Trump and Co. that merit Russian concern.

Yes, funny, yet depressing at the same time. The Hillbilly is so tone deaf, and lacks seriousness on the world stage. What was with that whole Greta Thunberg comment/joke? He undercut his standing as the VP of the United States. No doubt it confirmed to Europe that they will not have the U.S. as a serious partner in practically anything.

I am buoyed by Europe's commitment to Ukraine. I believe in long term good outcomes, as if freedom will find a way, so someday Ukraine will extricate itself out from under Russia's attempt at dominance. It's eventual vitality will be a thorn in the side of Russia and a real security threat; not from potential invasion or military action, but from just being awesome and Russians thinking, "Hey, why can't we have that." That's the real threat that vexed Putin.

And sadly, when that happens, the U.S. will be sitting on the sidelines looking like a fool.

I wonder how Japan, Taiwan, and South Korea are feeling right now.

About Taiwan Elon Musk a while back said they should hand themselves over to China, so we can probably assume Trump and Vance probably think more or less the same, although Trump doesn't seem to like China as much as Musk does.

I see Trump is hitting back at Ukraine being understandably upset they’re not involved with negotiations. He said something to the effect of ‘you’ve been at war for three years, and you should have made a deal.’ And for good measure, ‘you should have never started the war’.

what an ignorant immoral asshole. How does any serious American political leader preferentially deal with Russia over Ukraine, both practically and intellectually? This sorry episode has to be one of the most glaring examples of his unfitness for office.

                          Elections have consequences.

Your bare assertions do not make it so. Maybe your reasoning is too stunted and your vocabulary is too limited to go without these epithets."

I'm still very disturbed by Trump's/Hegseth's approach to a settlement, beginning with the announcement that Ukraine will not be joining NATO and will have to surrender forever the lost territory, while saying absolutely nothing about what Putin will have to concede. All this before the negotiations begin. Trump is as lousy a negotiator as he is a businessman.
