Day 1 was the initial flood of ironic religious memes flying around and general facebook indignation.
Day 2 everyone is sharing their hypothetical situations to illustrate the many ways in which the policy would affect people. Also we see apologists prairie-dogging but retreating quickly into hiding.
Day 3 is usually the sky-is-falling progmo predictions of the end of Mormonism and quasi-insiders from reddit with rumors of mass apostasy. Day 3 is usually my fave because that is where guys like SIEQ shine, quoting a lot of other people with stuff that has been said before anyway, referencing his interfaith counsel pancake breakfasts, and bemoaning the impending end of days. In this case, SIEQ jumped the gun on Day 2 but I will give him a pass, as long as he shows up tomorrow with some good stuff.

This policy is indefensible. This policy is hateful. This policy proves the LDS church leadership simply hates homosexuals. There is no other way to interpret it. Your response also proves that you hate homosexuals.

Maybe not. But it most likely proves LDS church leadership is as bad as Hitler. Or at a minimum as dangerous as ISIS.

Hitler is obviously worse. He killed the people he hated. At least the LDS church isn't advocating for the murder of the homosexuals that they hate.

So if a child is born to a non-mormon parent or couple - gay or straight - a membership record can be created for that child just with authorization from a parent?

As long as at least one parent is a member, and either both parents give their consent or the parent with legal custody gives their consent, a membership record for an unblessed child under 8 can be created.

One of the great things about having a proxy is that it is really hard to pin you down. You know, for legal reasons.

You are a typical RM, serve a Spanish speaking mission, probably came home with a bunch of single soccer jerseys, during your homecoming talk you pretend to not know had to think about certain English words. Every time you see a brown person you want to start busting out some Spanish, the minute you came home you planned a trip to head back. Studied Spanish in college because hey you are fluent after 2 years and it's an easy major way to fill the arts and letters requirement.
