    • It is all so simple. Just choose to be hetero.

A husband and wife who bear children together can look at their progeny and exclaim, “She has your nose, and my mouth,” or “Our daughter got her musical talent from her mom and her sense of humor from her dad,” or “Look at this gorgeous child. She’s the best of both of us.” A husband and wife can celebrate posterity that will last through the eternities. Their union, sanctioned not just by the government, but by God Almighty, can last forever.

We can be kind to gays, and we can grant them legal privileges, but we can’t combine their genetics and create a human being. Therefore, an individual who finds themselves attracted to members of the same sex must make a choice. “Will I choose this lifestyle that the world has made possible for me, the lifestyle that feels good, the lifestyle I feel I have a right to choose, even though I will be sacrificing an eternal family?”
Sorry, adoptive parents. This applies to you too, I guess.

Seems they left the part out about gay couples still being able to father/bear a child. That at least combines half of a child's genetics. It also leaves out hetro couples who were married/sealed in the temple but not able to conceive together and decided to go the donor route instead of adoption. I have a cousin who will be startled to know that hers is not an eternal family despite being married in the temple and having children born in the covenant by an anonymous donor.

I don't know why it is, but every time I click on a link for ldsmag.com and Meridian Magazine pops up, I feel like I've been duped.

            Strong opening sentence:

As a therapist, I have observed teens who are experimenting with homosexuality these days because it’s rather in vogue at the moment.
Hard to argue with that. Everyone wants to be gay these days because it is so cool, especially within the church.

This is the same reason why my SIL pulled her two oldest kids out of the local high school, and enrolled them in a Utah-based online school. Oh, and pot also.

Dude, you didn't even post the best paragraphs from the article. That thing is quite possibly the worst article on the internets. I'm ashamed the author and I share the same religion.

My kid's teacher last year was a a woman married to a woman.
The teacher had her spouse's brother as the donor for her in-vitro pregnancy. Pretty slick, I thought. The kids (she ended up carrying twins) look like both of their moms.

They took the article down. John Dehlin is claiming credit for it.

                          Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."
