    I remember those days..

Will Mormon culture eventually represent only extreme views? Anti gay anti woman anti shoulders. Will we resort women covering ankles and hands?

"Guitar groups are on their way out, Mr Epstein."

Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.

Such typical bias against Utah. Utah this, Utah that.

In my year book clear back in the 60's at dear ole Davis High there are THREE black kids in the year book.

Yea, Utahns are typcially naive and stereotype others, but outside of Utah people are very enlightened.

Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

I agree - that was the point.

As another graduate of dear ole Davis High school (a few years after '71) - we only had ONE black kid in my yearbook. He was adopted.

We also had one black kid in my Kaysville Jr. High yearbook. Not the same black kid, but he too was adopted.

I didn't know '71 graduated from Davis. He must be our wealthiest alum.

There were two black kids when I was there. And they were brothers, so they were on the same page in the yearbook. :rockon2:

You're right. There's lots of color in Utah.

You didn't just equate blacks to "colored's" did you? Where you from, Mississippi?

Isn't Wasatch High School in Heber City? With its proximity to Park City I would guess it would be a little more liberal.

You might think, but anything appearing conservative in Utah is automatically scoffed at by progressives and tied to the Mormon church.

This kind of conservative dress thing goes on other places too, but I guess to don't tie it to the state and the dominant backward culture.

It is probably true we haven't caught up to the progressive schools and states. The ones that won't allow kids to wear shirts depicting the American flag to school.
