Not really, they sat on this video and potentially others for 11 years. I guess when The Apprentice was making money for the network, it was easy to overlook the tapes.

And Billy Bush wasn't with the Today show at the time. They had these tapes and still hired him.

On a related note, is Trump worth all the political capital the religious right leaders are expending on Trump? By my count, Jerry Falwell Jr., James Dobson, Pat Robertson, and Ben Carson have all publicly defended Trump. Is their hatred of Hillary so high that they don't see how their Trump support looks like hypocrisy to non-evangelicals?

But don't ask them to support a Mormon running for president.

                  No kidding.

Good riddance, for a multitude of reasons.

                      • I hope party leaders continue to abandon ship. I hope Trump has to resign his candidacy in disgrace (I'm not even sure what legally happens to the Republican ticket in that case). A repudiation of Trump, either before the election due to the mounting scandal, or after due to him getting blown out by Hillary, is needed to save the party as a viable national option for the next couple decades. I still think the Republicans can be the party of fiscal conservatism and economic growth that they have always claimed to be. It will obviously be even more difficult to make that transformation now. One comfort I have is that like Uncle Ted, I think the Democrats have some large fractures in their party as well. They were able to paper them over thanks to an all-time dunce of an opponent nominated by the Republicans. But those fractures aren't going away and will be more apparent in 2020.

I made a bet in March knowing that he would implode (though admittedly I thought he wouldn't make it through the summer - the bet is withdrawal or assassination before the election). That he's lasted this long is embarrassing to say the least. How idiotic this nation has become (I'm referring of course to his forced or unforced resignation and in no way advocating violence).

Btw, South Park has made this election season bearable.
