Funny how making good choices makes a person feel better. Now I generally agree that it won't do a thing to stop either of those candidates this election, except in the sense that I'm depriving Crooked Hillary and Dumpy Donald of a vote they haven't earned. But I don't really care a whole lot about stopping them. They're equally horrific and this cycle is a lost cause. Evil won this battle but goodness can still win the war, so I'm much more concerned now about future elections. I'm sending a message to future leadership of both parties that giving voters a choice like this is unacceptable. I'm going to do what's right and let the consequence follow.

To that point, Trump has also done (or not done) numerous things that should disqualify him from pubic service. Things like profiting from scam universities and seminars, not releasing tax returns, and hiring UU grads to write your books and wife's speeches. These are all disqualifying, IMO.

If we had a viable third party candidate who could prevent either person from winning then it could go to the Convention allowing saner heads to prevail.

People sold on Hillary are the problem. They really are the problem.

They won't see your message. Writing in the name of a candidate that isn't actually a candidate doesn't show up in the official count. Vote Libertarian and it will.

FiveThirtyEight's leading statistician, Nate Silver, accurately predicted the winner of 49 of the 50 states in the 2008 election and correctly predicted the winner of all 50 states in 2012. Last week he tweeted, "Don't think people are really grasping how plausible it is that Trump could become president. It's a close election right now."

This is what we have all been saying from the beginning about Trump. Ah, the numbers/lead have to be temporary and people will eventually come to their senses, but folks, I am not so sure.

IMO, the democrats have lost a very valuable tool this election cycle. Short effective messaging. In the past they have been able to communicate their message points more succinctly than republicans have....think "Free healthcare," "war on women," "the 1%" etc. Republicans were always on the defensive with their messaging because there isn't as good a way to explain why ideas like free healthcare are a bad idea in a succinct way, such that low information voters (which is the vast, vast majority of the electorate) will commit to even take the time to understand. Trump has changed this game. He has been incredible (this is not an endorsement of the content of his messaging) at messaging and it is now the democrats and Hillary that are constantly on the defensive and the low information voter just isn't going to invest the time to care what you are saying in your attempt to refute.

He and Clinton may be equals in terms of suspect character but he will damage this country far more. It looks like wikileaks/Russia's help is paying off.

So between Clinton and Trump, if the election is close, and you live in a swing state that is polling very close, you will write in Mitt for the message it sends, rather than casting it to effect the outcome of the current election?
