I thought that was great. Proud of Cruz for not pretending Trump is all of a sudden a good guy.Originally posted by BlueK View PostNot much of a Cruz fan but his refusal to endorse amid the Trump nutcases shouting "traitor!" must have been a nice touch. The GOP has gone deep into crazyland. It deserves to be torn down and started over.
I heard parts of Cruz's speech last night, and they were annoying. During his "Freedom means...." portion, he said something like "Freedom means supreme court justices that are not activists and instead uphold the constitution!"
I don't think that's exactly what freedom means.Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

hillarys actions dont come close to the scariness of what trump has proposed.Originally posted by byu71 View PostHillary's actual actions are scary, Trumps words are scary. Makes for a very bad choice.
Again, what explains how we are where we are at. Top Dem vote getters. Hillary, Bernie. Top republicans. Trump, Cruz.
I am not that familiar with all dems, but surely they have better. I know the republicans do.

What proof do you? Should I take your word for that? I certainly can't take hers on anything. A US man, who is not a liberal, is in Putin's back pocket? Not a credible accusation without more substance.Originally posted by frank ryan View Posttopper, you're off the mark again. Hillary would not fuck with nato. Trump's main campaign and policy guy, Paul Manafort, is in Putins back pocket. The whababoutim you frequently deploy does not work in this case.
She fucked with NATO by backing out of Poland. You politely decline to address that disastrous decision."Guitar groups are on their way out, Mr Epstein."

There's nothing humorous about the current state of the GOP. I have many significant issues with the party that make it almost impossible for me to vote for them. However, it would be even worse if there was a de facto one national party, which I think is going to happen for the foreseeable future. The GOP will likely be shut out from national politics for a season. Better to let its current iteration burn to the ground now and hope for a better party to rise ASAP.Originally posted by byu71 View PostSome of you are getting quite humorous."...you pointy-headed autopsy nerd. Fine, we disagree. I won't convince you and you won't convince me.Originally posted by Maximus View Posthillarys actions dont come close to the scariness of what trump has proposed.
I am resigned to the fact this is a liberal environment and I will be in the minority on most political subjects. Resigned is the wrong word, happy to be here and hear what the opposition is saying. It is like watching CNN or MSNBC.
If I need reassurance I can always talk with my colleagues, golfing buddies or family or watch FOX.

Likewise, nothing humorous about the current state of the dems. I find the onesided slant on here as humorous, not the state of either party.Originally posted by Northwestcoug View PostThere's nothing humorous about the current state of the GOP. Hint: The National Review isn't even remotely a "liberal" voice. It's possible to be adamantly opposed to the fake conservative, fascist craziness of Trump and not be a liberal either.

I'll give you that. The fact that Hillary is the best the dems have is laughable. But as bad as that is, it is not near the dumpster fire the GOP is right now.Originally posted by byu71 View PostLikewise, nothing humorous about the current state of the dems. So you were against the bombing in Germany and Japan during WWII.Originally posted by Maximus View Postok, name one thing hillary has done that is worse than having the president ordering the military to kill innocent people?
So you don't go spin my answer incorrectly, I think the killing of innocents should be avoided if at all possible.
I suppose Hillary supported her husband and the bombing that killed innocents in Kosovo.
You are too young probably to have been around for the Reagan run. He also was made dangerous by the press because of what he said.
I have been anti Trump from when he first announced. However, the anti sentiment on this board "sometimes" is just plain without thought, like it doesn't matter that he raised good kids.

Pretty sure Reagan wouldn't think much of Trump's idea to allow Saudi Freaking Arabia to get nukes while ISIS and Al qaida are in the neighborhood waiting to pounce on them. I don't think Reagan would have been a big fan of saying it's ok if Russia runs roughshod over eastern Europe while we sit idly by talking about how great their leader is.Originally posted by byu71 View PostSo you were against the bombing in Germany and Japan during WWII.
