Here is the full quote in question:

    • I expect a bit more of this to come out.

Not that it matters much in terms of electoral damage. It clearly doesn't and especially not with the GOP putting up dipshit DJT to emphasize the importance of process, discretion, and classification distinctions. At this point it seems like the biggest damage potential is to morale within the intelligence community. The potential for resentment and disfunction is likely pretty high.

I'd say that about sums it up.
So we (the taxpayers) spent over $20mm (most likely much more) investigating this and all we got is this indefinite statement? Of course, I for one, wasn't expecting the dumbass FBI to come up with even this much so I am guess I am happy.

        • Well, at least one FB friend knows why the FBI won't recommend Hillary's indictment:

At this point, Federal Prosecutors will have to decide if they want to be added to the Clinton Body Count or not.

          • It seems that Clinton has some of the worst judgment out of any high profile politician. She voted for the Iraq war. She got destroyed during hillarycare. She was anti-gay marriage up until Obama changed his position a couple years ago. She sucked as sec of state. She has no signature piece of legislation as a senator.

Makes me want to write in Biden's name just out of spite.

And the GOP is dumb enough to put up Trump. The political process isn't working, but thank goodness for American enterprise and technology. Our lives operate largely separate and in spite of politics and government, but if we keep electing persons such as Hillary, it may not be so. I am not a prognosticator of the body politic, but the current generation seems to have lost the lessons of the sixties and seventies.

Let's be fair, nearly every congress person voted for the Iraq war. The anti-gay marriage stance was also very typical.

I agree, but by that logic it should be a non-issue for all politicians, and Dems shouldn't be beating the GOP up over supporting either. Also, by that logic, Mozilla had no business firing their CEO for supporting Prop 8, but that's a discussion whose day has passed.

This is the part of the quote that has meaning for me:

...those individuals are often subject to security or administrative sanctions.
No, others may not be prosecuted either, but there's a good chance they'd lose their jobs.

Edit: And lose their security clearance. Here's a question: how can you be a president without a security clearance? There's no constitutional requirement, but how would that work in practice?

                          • I thought this 'fact check' of the FBI investigation by AP was pretty good.

They concluded that she was dishonest with her prior statements and very careless with potentially sensitive info. I guess that is a pretty damning indictment for a secretary of state. I'm not sure how that affects my voting plans yet. For now, I'm tepidly and cautiously still pro-Hillary.

Funny how this is being touted as a smoking gun in the regular media and social media. Like the FBI is that stupid.

I read this statement as essentially saying, "We aren't saying that one can always do these things with no consequence or no fear of prosecution, but in this case there are not enough factors to prosecute."
