I understand the legality, but his point was normative or strategic. If you didn't care about the continent, and didn't care about Russia (and the possibility that Russia might win and itself control the continent) then you could argue that Europe didn't make much sense. In fact, that we wouldn't intervene was something Churchill worried about a lot in 39-42, as he feared we would just focus on the Japanese. So maybe the idea that we SHOULDN'T have intervened is a discussion you could have about Europe, but it makes no sense whatsoever in the Pacific.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View Post

Not sure I get this Independent run. The Independent doesn't have a prayer of winning. If these people want Trump to lose so bad, why not come out and endorse Hillary.
