I am NOT a fan of the current generation, but the GOP is less likely to increase taxes, less likely to increase government regulations, unlikely to impose infringements on the 2d amendment, less likely to grow the government as fast as the Democratic Party, and more likely to nominate Supreme Court justices I can stomach. It's not a long list but it is a list. There is nothing which the Democratic Party does that addresses my major issues in the manner I'd like to see.Last edited by Topper; 05-18-2016, 03:49 PM."Guitar groups are on their way out, Mr Epstein."
Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.

It's not a right -- left consistency, but a consistency on the issue of government overreach. Both lefties and conservatives want government overreach when it favors their position. State government laws banning gay marriage is a pretty good example of government overstepping its limits.Originally posted by I.J. Reilly View PostThis is perhaps the first time I've seen anyone claim consistency as a quality of Kennedy's. Bravo.Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

This is a legit reason to consider Trump. I've also been waiting for the list and look forward to reviewing the names. His choice of VP will also receive consideration.Originally posted by PaloAltoCougar View PostThe Supreme Court is the ONLY thing I can think of that would give me a reason to vote for Trump (well, that, and the HUUUGE entertainment value, perverse through the entertainment would be). I'd like an unbiased review of each of the candidates. And how do we know he's serious about these and that he won't change his mind, claim they were simply suggestions, and then nominates one of his goombahs? Other than his quest for money and his love of the Trump brand, has shown lifelong fidelity to any principle or thing?

Yes, the VP will be both revealing and, perhaps, helpful. I don't think he'll pick Christie (dumb move if he did), but I'm curious what Christie wrangled from Drumpf for his still-weird endorsement.Originally posted by Shaka View PostThis is a legit reason to consider Trump. Tom Lee is cool! Back in 05 at JRCLS he dressed up like Napoleon Dynamite for Halloween and did some of the Napoleon dance on top of the bench. Perfect Scalia replacement.Originally posted by Color Me Badd Fan View PostTrump released a list of potential nominees he would vet for Scalia's spot on the Supreme Court in the unlikely event he actually becomes the president. Tom Lee is on the list.

"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

Hmmm. For some reason I thought Mike Locksley preceeded her administration.Originally posted by New Mexican Disaster View PostPlease God take her. I know very little about her but coming from a communist such as yourself that may be a good endorsement. I liked what I read about Gary Johnson too.Originally posted by New Mexican Disaster View PostPlease God take her.
