Of all people interested in changing libel law to make it easier to sue someone if they say something about you that you don't like - I can't imagine Trump leading the charge?

Does he have any idea of how exposed he would leave himself? Sure, there would be a few people he could sue. And mostly he'd lose - even with new looser laws. But there would be a lot of people who would be able to sue him too. And I tend to believe that they would have a better chance of winning than he would in most instances.

It's a vote, not a contest to pick the winner like the ESPN bracket challenge. If the crap nominated from one of the two major parties doesn't seem like crap to you, then by all means vote for one of them. If not, then what is the point of encouraging them to keep nominating crap? There are reasons to vote third party. It helps them meet threshholds to continue to get on state ballots without having to spend their money on petition campaigns to get on the ballot, as well as to qualify for federal matching funds.

Not only that, but your one vote out of millions isn't going to make a bit of difference in who wins the election even it if does go to one of the major parties. So vote for someone you really like.

And I will also add, that writing someone in is actually almost always wasting a vote. In most cases those don't count for anything. Most states don't compile those and throw them straight into the trash unless the write in candidate has actually registered in advance. So unless it's an actual registered candidate from one of the third parties that didn't qualify to get printed on the ballot in your state, your vote for that office won't be counted.
