Yeah, I'm not going to pay too much attention to who the Pope classifies as Christian or not.
I think as LDS, we should be the last ones to point fingers at the Catholics on interfaith relations. Great and abominable church anyone?"There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."

BTW, how is it that politicians are not only allowed, but expected and encouraged to use religion as a political tool, yet religious leaders should "stick to religion and butt out of politics"?"There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? It's based upon whether you agree with the person or not. Duh!Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostBTW, how is it that politicians are not only allowed, but expected and encouraged to use religion as a political tool, yet religious leaders should "stick to religion and butt out of politics"?

Is there anyone sleezier than Cruz? Check out this article: http://www.mediaite.com/online/cruz-...ds-with-obama/
Here are the photos in question.

"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

And can we stop pretending that Trump is a man of strong religious conviction?Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostBTW, how is it that politicians are not only allowed, but expected and encouraged to use religion as a political tool, yet religious leaders should "stick to religion and butt out of politics"?

I always thought liberals were more free thinkers. I mean more tolerant, more empathetic, more inclusive. Yet in the last couple of the days the Pope says I am non Christian because I believe in the wall and the leading candidate for the Presidency says I am a racist because I don't think President Obama should get to put another person on the bench.
I disagree with the Pope on a lot of things, but I would never call him non Christian. I disagree strongly with Ms Clinton but I would never call her a bitch. I think I still prefer being an open minded compassionate conservative like Kasich.

Same with the famous televangelists. They should stick with televangelizing and not define if Mormons can be called Christians or not.Originally posted by myboynoah View PostNo fan of Trump, but the Pope should stick to Poping and not define who can be called a Christian and who cannot.
