Bloody hell. Isn't his old man a doctor?"There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."
"It's no secret that the great American pastime is no longer baseball. Now it's sanctimony." -- Guy Periwinkle, The Nix.

That's what I mean. You aren't a nut for being religious on the right or for being liberal on the left. You are a nut for running for office and pandering to extreme positions that are known to be candidacy killers. When will the conservative electorate realize this?Originally posted by SandYFan View PostCan we blame the religious right? Anyone who isn't nuts on stuff like vaccines and gay marriage doesn't get the support they need to get very far.
A few months ago, Rick Perry was saying that if his new anti-abortion measures had been in place in time, Joan Rivers might not have died when she did.

Don't forget Huckabee. I listened this morning to an interview in which, in an apparent attempt to appear tolerant as he gets ready to throw his hat into the ring, said he has friends who are gay and he has no problem with people following the gay lifestyle. Anyone using the phrase "gay lifestyle" nowadays will likely get the hook, and should.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostThere is a difference between not having a candidate strong enough to beat Hillary and having lunatic candidates. The GOP current has Rand Paul, Sarah Palin, and Rick Perry, to name a few. How did these nuts rise as far as they did to be in a position to run for POTUS???

What cross? Oh, that's just a coincidence.

If Sacha Baron Cohen were not so exposed (and also a US-born citizen), his would be a great candidacy to track, as he crosses America pandering to individuals that have chosen the "black lifestyle," people that have decided to have "Jewish sex," or individuals that were not brought into this world as elderly but over decades have opted to assume the traits and characteristics of an old person despite their innate age at birth.Originally posted by PaloAltoCougar View PostDon't forget Huckabee. Interesting we hardly heard about the current presidents idiocy on vaccines when he was running
http://www.vox.com/2015/2/2/7963837/...vaccine-autism
We've seen just a skyrocketing autism rate. Some people are suspicious that it's connected to the vaccines. This person included. The science right now is inconclusive, but we have to research it. --Barack Obama, Pennsylvania Rally, April 21, 2008.
Lot's of stupidity to go around unfortunately.

While we're all wondering about all the idiots running on the GOP side, let's also savor Al Sharpton's run from a few years ago and that he has a platform on the Democrats' official network.Originally posted by Maximus View PostInteresting we hardly heard about the current presidents idiocy on vaccines when he was running

Rand Paul has always been a nonstarter because he's Ron Paul's son, who's a certified nut. I'm glad the vaccine talk may sink his campaign.
The nomination is going to come down to Bush or Walker, thankfully.Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

I don't know much about Walker, but what I do know, he seems like one of the few candidates who can ignite the moderates and the far-right folks.Originally posted by Color Me Badd Fan View PostWhile we're all wondering about all the idiots running on the GOP side, let's also savor Al Sharpton's run from a few years ago and that he has a platform on the Democrats' official network.

Obama's quote is somewhat defensible. This was before Lancet retracted the article that made the most publicized link between autism and vaccines.Originally posted by Maximus View PostInteresting we hardly heard about the current presidents idiocy on vaccines when he was running

There's no excuse for Paul to be spouting off anecdotes. He should know better. Unfortunately, he doesn't. Goodbye, Paul."...you pointy-headed autopsy nerd. Do you think it's possible for you to post without using words like "hilarious," "absurd," "canard," and "truther"? Your bare assertions do not make it so. Maybe your reasoning is too stunted and your vocabulary is too limited to go without these epithets."
