And you believe those are GOP issues?

The only issues which people should care about, spying without due process and the Second Amendment, may be of little concern as Millennials have had it easy for so long and have no contact with the Greatest Generation.

The issues should be about government intrusion and the proper role of government relative to the economy. Defense plays into the latter.

And for you to classify Millennials as a monolith makes no sense. They will care about the issues their families care about. (Many of the issues you list are dead to most voters). Professionally minded Millennials will care about much of the same issues as their parents do. The blue collar Millennials are a mystery to me, as I could understand the mentality of WWII unionists. And intersectional feminists are further mystery as they seem to want more government assistance without knowledge if those programs are likely to succeed. The distrust for government solutions seems to have declined.

Most of these issues are dead?

      Did you watch the debate?

No. It is theatre, not true political commentary. (Yes, I read reviews and commentary). You mistake the theatre for the reality of what people care about. If you mistake the debates for anything real, then you forget who stage these debates and for what purpose. They are staged to entertain. For the most part, people are tuned out of any political discussion, as real meaningful discussion is rather tedious and requires more technical knowledge than most voters have.

You have the clown, Trump, who will either do a Ross Perot, or simply go count his money that he was have made as a result of his participation, and the others trying to get noticed by being outrageous, and Bush who is playing the waiting game. However, don't be distracted as those being the issues.

In the end, it is likely it will be the ghosts of Bill and Hillary against the ghosts of George Bush haunting Jeb Bush. Thus, we will see whose ghosts haunt whom more.

            • Yeah I gotta say my kids post every hour of every day on Facebook/Instagram etc. They have no secrets -- the last thing they are worried about is the government spying on them.

Fusnick's take on Millennials is that they are monolithic and don't pay attention to any GOP issue is silly. Fusnick's self-assignment to the anti-wealthy white men in favor of wealthy white women is also humorous considering who he and his wife are. The self-anointed statists turned "progressive" like to see themselves in a loftier state because they buy into a Rousseauan view of the world, despite its limitations and proven failures.

The world is complex, but privacy appears to be less important to people in the younger generations.

I get tons of links to Matt Walsh articles in my FB feed already.

I should follow LAU again and see his shenanigans.

After blocking anything from Matt Walsh, John Dehlin and Kate it almost feels like I'm not Mo on FB.

                          • Wasn't it Rosie who was the intended target of Trump's barbs when years ago he threatened to send over an attractive lesbian friend to steal away Rosie's girlfriend? Or was that Ellen? Trump seems to hate lesbians.

Maybe that is why he attacked Meagan Kelly so viciously.
