To me Mitt is basically saying I really don't care who wins, he just wants to express how much he dislikes Trump. I wonder what has set him off in addition to Trump being an a-hole. I will bet some of Romney's best friends are also a-holes.

He spoke for about an hour on what set him off so if you really care you could listen, watch or read the transcript. I think it had more to do with the United States giving executive authority to someone who shows clear signs of evil intent and authoritarianism. But maybe you're right and it's just that Romney think's he's an a-hole.

If Mitt thinks the constitution is hanging by a thread, I think he needs to step up and say if no one else will do it (run third party) I will. I think he should pick Nikki Haley or Susana Martinez as his running mate.

I figure this is like when the Cowboys play the Patriots. It isn't that I don't care who wins. It's that I would prefer that they both lose. Unfortunately, since there are only 2 teams playing - by default one of them is going to win. But I'm not going to do anything to help either.

Yea, perhaps "care" was the wrong word. I am sure a lot of people have come to the conclusion there is not a lesser of two really bad choices. I wonder if there will ever be an election where we don't vote or vote third party because we can't decide which is the better of two really good choices.

"His" supreme court nominee list was actually OK. But, of course, I know that HE isn't the one who put that list together. He had someone do it for him.

Which has me questioning how much HE would actually do. Obviously, he would take credit for EVERYTHING. But if he delegated all of the actual work and decision making to the right people prior to rubber stamping and taking credit for it all...maybe we don't end up in hell with our handbaskets if he is president. Hmmm.



(I still won't vote for him. Just going through the stages of grief for our country. I'm beyond denial, and moving from anger to bargaining...apparently.)

Yes and no.

The key being who "the right people" are.

I actually fear that some of Hillary's ideas are her own. She actually think she knows what should happen and what our country needs.

I am more and more convinced that Trump is totally clueless. But he knows he's clueless. He also knows that he is the CEO - and as the CEO he owns whatever his people produce.

For Hillary - she needs to be smart which means all of the ideas need to be hers.

For Trump - he needs to be smart, which means that he pays all of the people with the best ideas and because he paid for them, they are now his intellectual property so he can claim them.

I know the difference seems pretty minor. But there is a difference.

to some degree, yes. Reagan followed that model. The difference is that Reagan had core values from which he operated. Values that went far beyond his own self interests. Trumps values end in his mirror, wallet and other personal appendages. That is a huge difference.

He's not making a case for Hillary--he admits that she is "unfit" to be President. But Trump, as JL has said previously, is bad beyond anyone else in history. I still can't believe he's the GOP nominee.

I can see a case for not voting for Clinton.
I can see a case for voting third party.
I can see a case for not voting altogether.
I can see a case for writing in Mitt (has 80% of this board will do).
I can see a case for voting for Hillary.
But I can't, under any circumstances, see any case for a Trump vote.
