No, I was raised a Republican by my Southern California Republican parents. I never really made that choice -- I was taught that we were Republicans so I became a Republican. Once I got to college I started to explore my beliefs, though. I developed not only a testimony of the savior for the first time but I also slowly developed an awareness that I wasn't really a far-right conservative. I didn't become a Democrat until I moved to North Carolina and had to register to vote. Even here in NC, Democrats are generally more centrist than leftist.

Well there's a flip side to every coin. Since you've already experienced the horrors of far right Utah County, you should go experience the joys of deep blue Detroit or Baltimore.

And since I've consistently said that I'm not really pro-Obama, it would make sense, wouldn't it? It really feels like you continue to base your assumptions of who I am and what I believe on what people like IPU and CMBF say, not what I myself say... because I've regularly said that I'm not the biggest Obama fan.
