I disagree that it's deceptively scaled - maybe deceptively cropped would be a better descriptor. I'd like the start point of the graph to be much earlier. How does the metric now compare historically to prior decades?Originally posted by ERCougar View PostOn a deceptively scaled graph."I think it was King Benjamin who said 'you sorry ass shitbags who have no skills that the market values also have an obligation to have the attitude that if one day you do in fact win the PowerBall Lottery that you will then impart of your substance to those without.'"

Day one of the general election fight and it looks like Obama's #1 theme is that Mitt is too rich to be president.

“I was shocked and disappointed to hear that Mitt Romney is not willing to stand up for women and their families." http://OFA.BO/xsXez7Granted he's also hitting on the Buffett Rule, but it's amazing how people can just make up political rhetoric to try and appeal to the lowest IQ possible (this goes both ways as the GOP is just as bad).TruthTeam2012 @truthteam2012 Reply Retweet Favorite · Open
Romney’s campaign on whether he supports the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act: "We'll get back to you on that." http://OFA.BO/AreSeq"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. Female employees in the Obama White House make considerably less than their male colleagues, records show. According to the 2011 annual report on White House staff, female employees earned a median annual salary of $60,000, which was about 18 percent less than the median salary for male employees ($71,000).
LOL! So either Obama is also against equal pay for equal work, or he is discriminatory in his hiring for high place positions.According to the 2011 annual report on White House staff, female employees earned a median annual salary of $60,000, which was about 18 percent less than the median salary for male employees ($71,000)."Discipleship is not a spectator sport. As everyone knows, tweet #1 is a total fabrication.Originally posted by Moliere View PostGranted he's also hitting on the Buffett Rule, but it's amazing how people can just make up political rhetoric to try and appeal to the lowest IQ possible (this goes both ways as the GOP is just as bad).Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!
For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

It all comes down to definitions of middle class. Obama defines the cutoff at $250,000, which I would define as at least upper middle class. $250K a year is a lot of money and would afford a family of 4 to live a very nice lifestyle.Originally posted by myboynoah View PostAs everyone knows, tweet #1 is a total fabrication.
I might put the middle class (not upper middle class or lower middle class) at around $70K to $140K in income, which could lead some of them to pay a higher rate than 13.9%, but certainly not most."Discipleship is not a spectator sport. Judging by wikipedia, my definition is way too generous as the cutoff for middle class is likely less than $100K. That's a bit surprising but maybe it's individual income and not household income.Originally posted by Moliere View PostIt all comes down to definitions of middle class. No, I'm sure it's household income, and that fits what I would expect the definition to be. I would think Mitt has a big advantage with household incomes over $100,000.Originally posted by Moliere View PostJudging by wikipedia, my definition is way too generous as the cutoff for middle class is likely less than $100K. People with incomes over $100K generally get how the economy works and that's why they take Mitt seriously.Originally posted by myboynoah View PostNo, I'm sure it's household income, and that fits what I would expect the definition to be.
