Romney versus Obama

People outside Utah hate Obama. Have you ever been to Oklahoma or Texas?"Guitar groups are on their way out, Mr Epstein."
Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.

Obama started a twitter trend called #whatsromneyhiding where he wants Romney to show his tax returns
The real general election is not even a week old and Obama is already resorting to vague attacks that would make only Newt Gingrich smile. Simply pathetic.
And in case Obama doesn't realize it, Romney already made his tax returns public."Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

hey, I work for a corporation that got stimulus money and we aren't cronies.....as far as I know.Originally posted by San Juan Sun View PostYour outrage aside, it's pretty much a fact that the stimulus only stimulated government workers, crony corporations, and unions. It will be hard for Obama to run on that record."Discipleship is not a spectator sport. To be perfectly clear, I'm not talking about state employees in states where they've been able to keep a decent budget. I'm talking about the ones that had to be propped up through the stimulus because they make too much damn money -- you know, the ones living in states that don't know how to keep a budget and where the public employee unions enjoy the type of relationship with elected officials where the taxpayers unwittingly have to bend over and grab their ankles as a result of it. Apparently, cops and firemen in LA should pull down $250k in total compensation before the city can pave a damn sidewalk -- and the mayor ends up chairing the Democratic National Convention. It's a perfectly defensible position however as you can see through this exchange:Originally posted by frank ryan View PostWay the fuck out of line bashing state workers and calling them assholes.

BTW, this is an exchange between the radio host and the Rockeater from the Neverending Story who happens to be the DNC chair, just in case you're confused.

You are still out of line calling a huge group assholes. It lazy, sloppy thinking. Your emote such disgust at those who do all sorts of different jobs. And Fuck anyone who thinks belonging to a union makes you an asshole as well.Originally posted by Color Me Badd Fan View PostTo be perfectly clear, I'm not talking about state employees in states where they've been able to keep a decent budget. What about CMBF's outrage? Stimulus money going to government jobs is not an excuse to call public employees assholes.Originally posted by San Juan Sun View PostYour outrage aside, it's pretty much a fact that the stimulus only stimulated government workers, crony corporations, and unions. Here in Michigan, there were tons of signs promoting freeway improvements as a result of the American Reinvestment Act. The pothole-filled roads still stink, but the signmakers must have gotten some of that "stimulus".

While I wouldn't have used his terminology, CMBF used a moderate expletive in describing a faceless political class. You dropped two f-bombs on another poster. Not exactly the same thing.Originally posted by frank ryan View PostWhat about CMBF's outrage? Stimulus money going to government jobs is not an excuse to call public employees assholes.
Furthermore, your obviously angry outburst never really refuted his point. That's not a winning argument, IMO."Sure, I fought. I had to fight all my life just to survive. They were all against me. Tried every dirty trick to cut me down, but I beat the bastards and left them in the ditch."

Im not trying to win an arguement. I'm calling him on his bullshit. Faceless people? Not to me they aren't.Originally posted by San Juan Sun View PostWhile I wouldn't have used his terminology, CMBF used a moderate expletive in describing a faceless political class. After the stunts they've pulled in Wisconsin and watching cities in California file for bankruptcy, I think calling them assholes is totally in line. The Masters of the Universe in NYC are also a bunch of assholes. People tend to become assholes when they're allowed to dictate their own publicly funded compensation or are allowed shift the downside of risk-taking behavior to taxpayers while simultaneously reaping all the benefits from the same risk.Originally posted by frank ryan View PostYou are still out of line calling a huge group assholes. Why the hell should a firefighter in Las Vegas make $190,000? How much skill does it take to pose for a 1995 calendar wearing only your firemen pants and no shirt? It almost makes my $4,000 per hour anesthesiologist seem reasonable.Last edited by Color Me Badd Fan; 04-05-2012, 07:53 PM.Part of it is based on academic grounds. Btw, how does a city find a good Chapter 9 Bankruptcy lawyer? Is there a single one in the country? Creekster, time to bone up on Chapter 9 law, the business will be booming over the next few years.Part of it is based on academic grounds. stunt in Wisconsin? Free speech. Walker is the prick who pulled the stunt. So in your world, those who dont agree with are assholes?Originally posted by Color Me Badd Fan View PostAfter the stunts they've pulled in Wisconsin and watching cities in California file for bankruptcy, I think calling them assholes is totally in line.
