Don't count him out yet. If they get this thing to show any hope of working they will be able to spin there way out of this one. The press will jump back into the spin control for the dems and the President. Once the site is working there will be non stop heart warming stories. Especially stories about minorities, young people and women.

Big lies don't sink anyone unless the press decides it should. Just ask wild Bill Clinton.

I agree with you, but still I am amazed at how badly Obama is lying (meaning, in this instance he is a bad liar).

Time will tell. The lie helped to get Obamacare through. If it doesn't crash under it's own weight as the republicans predict, it will have proven to be a winning lie for Obama and his coharts.

Remember when you are dealing with Reid, Pelosi, the Clinton's and the Obama crowd, you are dealing with the "ends justify the means" crowd. You do business with those types at your own peril.

Yes, there are republicans who do that too, but they typically fear God and retribution more and so are less apt to do so.

        • When they get done fixing the obamacare website they should go ahead and update whitehouse.gov with the extra fine print.

Seriously, that is what the web-site still says? I had to go look for myself. Wow, just wow.

Yeah but all those critics are racist.

              • Who are Harry and Louise? Oh, those Clinton era yuppies... They are still griping about government mandated health insurance.

Alas, so long as moralists at the Times have their way, the structural rot will only deepen. The broken websites are a sideshow. Mark these words: the breakdown in the individual insurance market is only a small foretaste of the total chaos from mass insurance cancellations that will come when and if the employer mandates go into effect.
I mentioned this in a previous post -- the individual market is going to disintegrate over the course of the 1-2 years without a shitload of subsidies from the government. And then when the employer mandate goes into effect and tens of millions of people will be cast off onto the possibly mortally wounded individual insurance market.

If Obama refuses to budge on Obamacare, he'll be looking at another landslide next year. There may be 55 Republicans in the Senate and around 250 Republicans in the House. After that point, if the insurance markets continue to disintegrate, either Obama will have to work with Republicans and repeal Obamacare completely and engage in a legislative fix that will help remedy the damage it did or there's a real possibility his vetoes will be overridden.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

Oh good... I was worried that my insurance premiums were not going to be lowered by $2,500/yr.

People won't see the effect of the employer mandate until after the midterms.

When it comes to politics, I believe President Obama and his people are brilliant. When it comes to policy and what is good for this country, I truly think they are clueless. It is a very bad combination for this country.
