I'm enjoying this Mitt meme....Mr Fix It, issue spotter, problem solver. This is a guy that ran a disastrous campaign last time and yo, he didn't solve it. He got creamed.

His biggest problem as a politician, IMO, is that being one just doesn't come naturally to him.

How was his last campaign disastrous? is it automatically disastrous if you lose? He made mistakes but still was the closest to beating mccain.

Wouldn't you say he fixed the issues he had last time around, though?

            No, not really.

His main criticisms from 2008: flip flopper while in Mass, too corporate/inability to connect, and he is Mormon.

What are the biggest criticisms this time around? Mostly the same. Admittedly, there isn't much he can do about any of the criticisms because they are either in his past and cannot be changed or out of his control and cannot be changed. The criticisms against his personality are mostly unfixable, as well. This isn't something that renting The King's Speech will resolve. His personality is what it is, for better and worse.

His surge this year as opposed to 2008 isn't really the result of him improving anything. He has pretty much been out of political office since the last election. It is the result of his competition being much weaker this year. There are zero electable candidates running against him. If he were running against maybe a Jeb Bush type he would get slaughtered.

It was nice of Romney to campaign for Paul on the front page of the NYT.
