the line between sincerity and gross cynicism on the daily show and similar shows is so thin. it takes perfect writing and execution to make it work. stewart was obviously ideal, but the supporting folks (carell, colbert, etc.) were incredible too. noah is shrill and that flavor of corrosive cynicism isn't mediated by anything to counterbalance it.Te Occidere Possunt Sed Te Edere Non Possunt Nefas Est.Comment
