Agreed. Also as part of my work have been valuing the tech for these guys and it appears very promising...recycling just might be another option and these guys are close to commercialization of an eco friendly way of doing it.

Very exciting. I Hope they can commercialize it.

Exxon Mobil, a new player in the hunt for U.S. lithium, is planning to build one of the world’s largest lithium processing facilities not far from Magnolia, with a capacity to produce 75,000 to 100,000 metric tons of lithium a year, according to people familiar with the matter.

At that scale, it would equate to about 15% of all finished lithium produced globally last year, according to one analyst.
The Wall Street Journal reported in May that Exxon purchased 120,000 gross acres in the area for a price tag of more than $100 million. A consultant for the seller had estimated the prospect could have the equivalent of 4 million tons of lithium carbonate equivalent, enough to power 50 million EVs.

That reminds me how sometimes when I'm talking to one of my buddies on the phone, I'll close with, "Love you too..." for the benefit of the missus.

I’ve only seen a couple of them in Houston but their Amazon delivery trucks are everywhere by my house.

Not the way they are proliferating in town. I see a ton of them.

Probably won't get one anyways. Mrs. NWC will likely never get over her short stature complex and will always want a big truck. Not enough room in the garage for 2 trucks

It is tough to overstate what a game-changer that would be. There would be no reason to own an ICE car after that.

This would also be a game-changer for my son's electric taxi (EVTOL) company. They would have greater range and/or higher payload. And as luck would have it, Toyota is their biggest investor.

Hopefully, this isn't yet another breakthrough announcement that doesn't pan out.

Time to start mining those deep-sea nodules.
