One year to live? That would save tax payers quite a bit of money.Originally posted by LA Ute View PostIf that happens I'd give him a year to live. But according to my former federal prosecutor partners, the federal prisons do a better job of protecting prisoners like him. He'll definitely be segregated from the general prison population. Still, they think he'll be at risk and will be looking over his shoulder for the rest of his life. I hear what you are saying, but a quick brutal death seems to good to me for this guy. The slow loss of his mind over what will seem to him like an eternity as he wishes he had something in his cell he could kill himself with seems more fitting.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostReally? You might reconsider that when 4 inmates are throwing you a blanket party at 3AM.

best of both worlds: he gets brutally raped every night for the rest of his life.Originally posted by UtahDan View PostI hear what you are saying, but a quick brutal death seems to good to me for this guy. Ah, and here is Woot to defend the convicted kidnapping rapist pedophile. Aren't you going to tell us how this relates to African fossils or some shit?Originally posted by woot View PostThe last page of this thread is sure demonstrative. What makes you think he's defending BDM? I think he is commenting on the irony of Christian values and bloodlust among those embracing Christianity. Isn't Christ the one that coined the phrase "Forgive them Father for they know not what they do"?Originally posted by camleish View PostAh, and here is Woot to defend the convicted kidnapping rapist pedophile. Where do we stop? Should BDM be publicly flogged? What about flayed? Drawn and Quartered? We could drag his corpse down South Temple and then put his head on a spike and display it at the gates of Temple Square.
Nobody condones what BDM did, and nobody thinks he shouldn't be punished, and nobody thinks people shouldn't be outraged. It's just kind of disturbing to hear the depths to which some people sink as they communicate that outrage.Last edited by Non Sequitur; 12-11-2010, 09:35 AM."The mind is not a boomerang. But how is their communication of outrage the fault of Christianity, and more specifically Mormonism? Those who spoke up didn't exactly comprise a who's who of orthodox CUFers.Originally posted by Non Sequitur View PostNobody condones what BDM did, and nobody thinks he shouldn't be punished, and nobody thinks people shouldn't be outraged. I could be wrong, but I don't think Woot was taking a swipe at the Mormon Church as much as he was Mormons in general. Personally, until I hear Church leaders call for the rape and murder of BDM, I will give the Mormon Church the benefit of the doubt and conclude that the attitudes reflected in this thread are not a product of Mormonism but of simple human outrage.Originally posted by cowboy View PostBut how is their communication of outrage the fault of Christianity, and more specifically Mormonism?
