I have a coworker in SA (which is where you are, IIRC) who high school son couldn't decide whether to participate or not. She told him she would support him if he was going for the right reason, on principle, and not just to get out of school. I bet she would have allowed free Raisin Cane's as a valid reason as well.

I would not go if I had to eat Canes. Not sure why people like that place.

My guess is that people go to Canes because it tastes delicious and is delicious and the sauce is delicious and it tastes delicious. Hope that helps!

I’m with Piney on this one. Canes’ chicken fingers are good, as is their sauce, but crinkle cut fries are weak and Texas toast is lame - I really don’t get the point of it. On the whole it’s just way overrated. It’s the In-N-Out of chicken places.

You were doing so well right up to that last sentence!

There are so many fried chicken places! I pretty much like them all. Houston’s Hot, slim chickens, canes, super chix, chik fil a, canes, Popeyes, and probably some I’m missing. They’re all good and sometimes great. But usually a surge in supply brings a decrease in price. It doesn’t seem to be the case with fried chicken.

Trump and top officials’ comments on the Pretti killing has some gun rights supporters threatening electoral consequences.

NRA folks are not so happy with things Noem and others said about Pretti having a gun.

                  Kind of funny.

I wonder whatever this woman was doing was 'illegal':

Local police chief intervened before she was hauled off to a detention center though.

Sources tell MPR News that the police chief of St. Peter intervened to prevent federal agents from taking a local resident who was observing ICE enforcement actions into detention. It is believed to the first time local police in Minnesota intervened in a federal law enforcement action since the ICE and border patrol surge began here two months ago.

Day 2 on the front lines. Mrs. NWC was in line at a grocery store in uptown Minneapolis, just blocks away from where the worst abuses have taken place. The woman in front of her had stacks of tortillas and bottles of cooking oil to buy. She was buying them for immigrants that have been holed up in their houses for days, most likely with Soros money. This a store that you have to bag your own groceries, so it was taking a while. She had too much to take in one trip, and Mrs. NWC helped bag and take the supplies to her car.

Probably illegal since they're impeding ICE from doing their federally-mandated work. But as they say, when ye have done it unto the least of these...

                          Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Here's a short clip from the CBC talking about the appeal of ICE recruiting material to the far right. Worth a watch.
