But the down ballot LP numbers will be telling in just how pointless the party is.
Trump and MAGA have aggressively courted Libertarians. Trump spoke at their national convention. Pretty disappointing to see they got traction.

They have also cozied up the Greens, as love portraying Jill Stein as a serious candidate

I'm hoping that's not a sign that most people are thinking he's going to win...God help us all if that's the case. MAGA will be here forever

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

The ascendancy of the single issue, "anti war," to the Libertarian Party has completely undercut 95% of the party platform. It makes sense the green party would now be bedfellows.

I would say that the Dems have aggressively driven the libertarians to join forces with the GOP'ers.

                  • I wouldn't be too concerned about this... someone tried to get my opinion at the exit and I told them to take a hike.

Yeah, no they haven't. The Libertarian Party shifted into being way more focused on fiscal issues and isolationist policies. They've abandoned Civil Rights issues and other civil libertarian concerns.

The democrats haven't shifted but the LP was responsive to Republican influence and interference. What kind of party has the candidate from another party speak at their convention?

Trump is the most anti-Libertarian candidate out there. He has no qualms about trampling with others' if it suits him.

Let me post this again on what the libertarians said about Trump...

Donald Trump is not a libertarian. Nonetheless, Trump is the best candidate for libertarians. He has:

                            1. Promised to free Ross Ulbricht.
                            2. Started no new wars, a first in over three decades.
                            3. Pledged to end the importation of anti-liberty migrants.
                            4. Indicated he will appoint Elon Musk, Ron Paul, and Vivek Ramaswamy to shrink the federal government.
                            5. Received endorsements from the greatest libertarians in America, including Thomas Massie.
                            6. Committed to ending the Department of Education.
                            7. Endorsed Bitcoin and cryptocurrency.
                            8. Flirted with ending the income tax entirely.

"I honestly believe saying someone is a smart lawyer is damning with faint praise. The smartest people become engineers and scientists." -SU.
