But he could have another brain aneurism too. Of course, the one he had before explains why he seems so brain dead now.

        I think Trump wears Depends.

          • This seems like a pretty big deal and helps explain the growing frustration with an economy that really isn't that bad. It's not bad, it's just not great when adjusted for inflation as people aren't getting wealthier.

"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

Yes. I don't attribute the growth or lack thereof to who is president, but this is what real people are feeling in today's economy.

The tall task the Biden admin needs to communicate is how Trump will be worse for their pocket books and standard of living than the status quo. People like Fus can crow all day about how everyone is so much better off under Biden but when it comes to inflation and housing costs, the lived experience of many doesn't feel that way. So how do you convince Trump will be worse?

I don't know that they would be worse economically under Trump. There are too many things that play into it that can't be controlled. It's everything else under Trump I would be worried about.

Perception is king. People who are financially secure will be more concerned about Trump's behavior than those who find themselves struggling more since Biden has been in office. Most people dont have sophisticated ideas about economic matters beyond how they are feeling in the moment. I have no idea how big the population of people out there who want Trump back despite his behavior though.

Well, he wants the power to have complete control on runs the Fed. That should be concerning.

Yeah, Trump would also sign massive spending bills drive up prices on things like food so families at spending $11,000 more a year just to feed themselves and forgive student loans by executive order to buy votes. When Biden took over inflation was already over 9%! Just ask Joe.

                        • This opinion writer makes a strong case why for the good of the country, and to save us from another four years of President Bone Spurs, Biden should resign.

If Democrats were to nominate Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, he'd beat Trump like LeBron James posting up Kevin Hart. There are many others, including Gov. Gretchen Whitmer of Michigan, Sen. Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota and Sen. Cory Booker of New Jersey. Trump would look old and unhinged next to their youthful competence and sober characters.
Though perhaps the country isn't ready for a gay president, I'd be fine with Buttigieg or Colorado governor Polis as well.

Big pass on "Alfred E. Neuman". Given how he has handled the transportation issues in this country and pot holes when he was major... No. Yes, Biden should resign but anyone but Alfred.

This is a standard Ted post, stuffed with links that I doubt he's ever read (other than the headlines) and are either irrelevant or contradict the argument being asserted. Why is Buttigieg is somehow responsible for foreign cargo ship collisions in Baltimore and the Suez Canal? Neither article makes such an absurd claim. And the pothole article, which implies that potholes are a relatively trivial issue, is actually positive about Buttigieg, including the closing comment from the South Bend Public Works director (the only negative comment came from an RNC spokesman, hardly damning):

“I think it’s pretty common for people to underestimate Pete Buttigieg,” Horvath told me Tuesday evening. “They’ve been doing it for a number of years now. I think he’s proven people wrong before that have underestimated him.”
And yet based on those articles Ted would apparently support anyone but Buttigieg who is vastly more qualified to lead than Trump, Biden, or a libertarian candidate still struggling with the question of whether the United States should have entered into WWII.

Obviously you are not a very good student of my posts... Those articles show that we have ships running aground and into bridges all over the place in the US. C'mon Alfred! Do something about these ships before they mess up everything. He should have been more proactive after seeing the Suez Canal ship and kept its sister ship from running aground here. And then after the ship takes out the Francis Scott Key we have another one nearly take out the only bridge to Galveston! WTF, Alfred, are you even paying attention?

Edit: And don't get me started about Boeing jets and their doors falling off!
