Trump is bad on policy. I mentioned Trump's tarrifs the other day. You know else supports tarrifs and who kept all of Trump's in place?

Got it so both bad at policy, both are old one with senility and the other with shyphlic senility, both with at least one drug addicted grifter child, one attempted a coup and said he wants to be a dictator the other said some mean things to republicans once.

      Choice is so hard!

Apology accepted, but I don’t remember exactly why you need to apologize.

          Correct. None of the above.

All debates today are for sound bites and insults. Trump just does it at a new level.

People get too hung up on the senility thing. Yeah, our choice is down to two people, both in cognitive decline. So lets then look at the people with whom the President will surround himself, the people doing the actual work. Lets compare potential cabinets. Trump's cabinet would be a scary shit show, the litmus being whether they believe the previous election was stolen. Biden's cabinet would at least be composed of serious people. Quibbling about which candidate is the least senile gets us nowhere.

Donald F’ing Trump? How weird is that? I mean, I can understand if it were The Rock, or Taylor Swift or Lionel Messi.
It's unbelievable he is still around. I can see the appeal for a 21 year old kid that barely made it through high school driving around in his 2004 Duramax that he is still making payments but for everybody else I don't see why.

And this is why there’s a serious chance in the next 30 years our country gets ripped apart.

If the educated, smart (and I say that with sincerity) can’t make rational decisions, our country is way closer to the edge than we acknowledge.

I’m convinced now, Moliere, you, AA, Copelius, don’t think Jan 6 was that big of a deal. You’ve said as much in this thread.

I think you're right, particularly as it pertains to what we'd see in Trump's second term. He had a few good people around for a bit in his first term until they got tired of his nonsense and bolted or were fired over Twitter. That said, Biden's cabinet leaves a lot to be desired. I don't think they're all serious people and compared to anyone but Trump it's awful.

But it was a horrible day that never should’ve happened and the people are rightly being prosecuted.

Theres two wild things about this:

                        1. Trumps old cabinet, a majority has come out against him and Mark Esper (bless him) said he’s inching closer to voting for Biden.

                        2. Trumps potential cabinet, if we game it out who would work with him? We know they would have to be an election denier and be willing to prosecute democrats.

                        Vivek
                        Miller
                        Patel
                        Tucker
                        Bannon

Those that say hey no big deal haven’t thought about what it means for the country try if Steve Miller it at DHS and Patel the DOD and Tucker at SOS and Vivek at justice.

Convinced because of this thread? You've been convinced of this for over a year.

That is just flat out wrong.

Here's the problem, Fus. You've locked your mind into a binary worldview where there are only two options: support Biden, or support Trump. In that view, you either back Biden or you inherently ratify everything Trump has said or done.

That worldview is seriously flawed. A person can rationally believe that Trump should not be president while simultaneously believing that Biden should not be president. That does not make them equivalent or put them on the same plane.

I already have a perfect score of not voting for Trump. I do not intend to tarnish that unblemished record anytime soon. I can't not vote for him harder than I already am.

And I fundamentally reject the notion that I have to vote for the second-worst option out of sheer revulsion to the first-worst option. If you buy into that false premise, then you are just letting Trump drag down the other side too.

A coup attempt is an attempt. The fact that is was being pushed by the sitting POTUS and current nominee of the GOP should be horrifying.

It was 100% Trump's intention not to leave office. He just couldn't get the military or DOJ or VP to go along. Jan 6 was just the last ditch hope for him that the violence would do the trick. It's bad enough he even wanted to at all regardless that it didn't work out. It's absolutely a coup attempt.
