Hahahaha DeSantis needs to take the L on this one. Republicans, for as extreme as they've gone over the past 8 years, are not willing to turn against Mickey Mouse and forego Disneyworld over political posturing, even if DeSantis was supposed to be the Annointed One. They'll quickly annoint someone else, thank you, and they'll also spring for the Park Hopper. What a dumb battle for the governor of Florida to pick...Originally posted by Northwestcoug View PostPresidential candidate with no chance of winning the nomination lands a punch on one who is merely unlikely to win it:

Yeah, there is going to be little wiggle room for Desantis to get out of this. He has to find a strategy to save face or he has no chance of surviving an attack from Trump. It is clear at this point that he isn't going to be the anointed one to replace Trump. The two from SC don't give me much hope to stand up to Trump. Tim Scott hasn't really started anything yet putside of announcing an exploratory committee.Originally posted by Commando View Post

DeSantis should just use eminent domain and build a road through the middle of Disney world… he would win over all the Trumpers overnight.Originally posted by USUC View Post

And just like that, Disney files suit against Ron DeSantis for his clearly punitive actions against a private entity for its political stance.

Two things: 1. That's not how eminent domain works; 2. Trumpers do not like DeSantis and would probably prefer to continue taking their kids to Disneyworld.Originally posted by Uncle Ted View Post

Ha, Ted the Libertarian advocating for deep government reach over the use of private property More like Ted the Liberal.Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!
For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Sure it is... A new road is needed and going through the middle of DW would be ideal. Of course, Disney may argue about the low ball price that DeSantis is willing to offer for the land. That can be settled in court over the next five years.Originally posted by Commando View Post

Remember that Ted guy we used to know? I guess we should have seen the warning signs.Originally posted by Uncle Ted View PostNo man, f*ck the government and their overreach. That is why I build guns. F*ck around government and find out!
Let the record show that I've always been a fan of Uncle Ted. And I only work for the government.

A new road is needed? No, it's not. Objectively. And even if there was, there is definitely a way to build a road without infringing on private property. I know how much you hate government and their overreach- especially when it's a politically motivated punitive action. Notes of Nicolas Maduro, here. And why do you think DeSantis isn't anything but at the bottom of the ocean here?Originally posted by Uncle Ted View Post

You’re missing the larger point. Ted is propping up DeSantis as much as he can. He wants these little moral victories so DeSantis has a little bit of hope of winning the nomination. He’s going to vote GOP anyways; he’d rather not have to explain his vote for Trump.Originally posted by Commando View Post
